Being an articulate yet outspoken orator it's always a pleasure to listen to Hon'ble Star M.P. and mega-star Shatrughan Sinha, his sher-shaayri and his witty candid comments. This was at the star-studded Mumbai-centric launch of debonair, flamboyant yet benevolent ( Dubai-based) business baron showman Rajan Lall's candid biography-book aptly titled 'I Did It My Way' --My Life of Love, Betrayal, Regret and Wisdom' brilliantly penned by noted showbiz journalist-editor Manju Ramanan. The dress-code of the dazzling event was "black-with-a-touch-of-red" --(red also means Lall ? )!

As expected, the 'chief guest', evergreen legend Shatrughan Sinha shared his sentiments in his frank, honest yet jovial 'signature-style' before he released the book on stage amidst thundering applause, along with 'ageless' guests-of-honor Jeetendra, Rakesh Roshan, Ranjeet and Shashi Ranjan. While Shatrughan ( who arrived 'on-time') was accompanied at the event by his dignified wife Punam Sinha, film-maker and impresario Shashi's graceful wife Anu Ranjan also graced the star-studded late-evening lavish event. Prior to the formal launching ceremony of the book on stage, both "guests of honour" star-actor Anupam Kher and Priya (Sunil) Dutt separately shared their nostalgic emotions, since they both had to leave early. The spiritual-divine touches were added because that day was also the birth-anniversary of Rajan Lall's immensely-talented 'late' mother Madhu Lata Lall. Also with the presence of respected Maharaj Sulakhe Shastri -- the Head Priest (Pujari) of the revered Shri Sai Baba Temple-Shirdi, abundant blessings were invoked. Simply because Rajan is also a staunch Lord Sai Baba-Bhakt!

In his brief speech, Shatrughan Sinha regaled the guests with his 'dil-ki-baat' comments laced with blunt humor while appreciating Rajan's 'gutsy revelation of his blunders and his 'grey' side' ! "Its a daringly honest biography which also inspires you 'what-Not-to-do' in life," observed Sinha-saab. Author-editor Manju Ramanan who has penned the bio-book says, " Rajan-Sir has frankly yet happily shared his mistakes and I just had to tone down many things, since the language had to be politically-correct."

Besides the veteran Bollywood legends, guests also present to cheer host Raj were well-wisher celebs Poonam Dhillon, film-maker Ketan (Manmohan) Desai with wife Kanchan, singer Shailendra Singh, Sonali Rathod, Renu ( Ravi) Chopra, Shekhar Suman with his wife Alka Suman, Rajan's business associate and current partner-- Rengin Yilmaz, Kunickaa Sadanand, Jayantilal Gada, model-actress Rachna Shyam. model actress Roma Navani, and many more.

What made multi-faceted film-producer, dubbing-king and business magnate Rajan Lall's 'I Did It My Way' book release event ( where his dynamic son Nikhil Lall also shared his frank emotional sentiments) release 'more memorable'--- was the ambience-aura of nostalgic reunion sentiments at The Leela Hotel venue, of old buddies --(including his school class-mates) meeting each other after several decades. In fact, I mentioned jestfully to my old friend Ketan Desai that the personal re-union of friends, at the book-launch also reminded me of his legendary film-maker father Manmohan Desai's favorite 'lost-and-found' theme of most of his jubilee-hit landmark movies, like 'Amar Akbar Anthony'!
