On the occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day, the capital city of Delhi is set to host a grand cultural event, “Celebrating India Film Festival (CIFF 2025)”.
Until now, the names Goa or Mumbai would come to mind at the mention of film festivals. But now, Delhi is all set to host its own first major film festival. 8 to 10 August, CIFF 2025 will be organized by Graphisads at NCUI Auditorium, Siri Fort Road, New Delhi, with FTII, FCG, and IGNCA as partner organizations.
Key themes of the festival are: environment, wildlife, tourism, heritage, art, culture, spirituality, and patriotism.
Highlights:
- Screening and discussion of “India Lockdown,” directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and produced by Pranav Jain.
- Special screenings of the 4K-restored “Umrao Jaan” and the patriotic classic “Kranti” by Manoj Kumar.
- World premiere of “Aham Bharatam,” a new documentary by Bharatbala (renowned for “Maa Tujhe Salaam” and “Vande Mataram”), plus an interactive session on “Virtual Bharat.”
- Padma Shri Ricky Kej, three-time Grammy Award winner, will launch his new music video “Gandhi – Mantra of Compassion.”
- Special performance by Bollywood singer Hema Sardesai.

- Interactions with R.S. Prasanna and Divy Nidhi Sharma, (“Sitare Zameen Par” fame), and producer Gaurav Dhingra (of “Stolen”)

- A discussion on the legacy of Indian cinema by the Film Critics Guild.
