Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh is no longer just a star—he is a name capable of carrying an entire project on his shoulders. In Border 2, Diljit Dosanjh portrays Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon. During the 1971 India–Pakistan war, while stationed at the Srinagar Airbase, Flying Officer Sekhon single-handedly confronted six Pakistani Sabre jets in his Gnat fighter aircraft.
In this historic aerial battle on 14 December 1971, he displayed extraordinary courage and laid down his life while defending the motherland. For his exceptional bravery, he was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest gallantry award.

About Diljit Dosanjh

Diljit Dosanjh was born on 6 January 1984 in Dosanjh Kalan village, Jalandhar district. He began his career in 2002 and gained recognition in Punjabi music with albums like Smile (2005) and Chocolate (2008). His collaboration with Yo Yo Honey Singh on The Next Level (2009) became hugely popular.
He made his acting debut with Mel Karade Rabba (2010) and established himself as a lead actor with The Lion of Punjab (2011). His powerful Bollywood debut came with Udta Punjab (2016), for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He later received widespread praise for films like Good Newwz (2019) and Amar Singh Chamkila.

Some of his notable films include Jogi, Honsla Rakh, Punjab 1984, Jatt & Juliet 3, Phillauri, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, Sardaar Ji, and Crew.
Among his most popular songs are G.O.A.T., Lover, Born to Shine, Do You Know, 5 Taara, Laembadgini, Proper Patola, Patiala Peg, Raat Di Gedi, and the recent hit Premium Kufar. These tracks showcase his versatility across moods and styles, including Punjabi pop, hip-hop, and romantic music.
