As Mother’s Day approaches, Alfia Jafry shared her heartfelt gratitude for her mother's unwavering support and love. Soon to make her debut with Amazon Prime Video’s The Tribe, Alfia emphasized the invaluable role her mother has played in her life, particularly during her journey in the entertainment industry, highlighting her mother's enduring encouragement and care.
Mom's Morning Routine: A Tale of Love and Preparation
Talking about one of the cherished memories of her mom, Alfia shared, “My mom has had a habit since childhood where every day she would wake up and the first thing she would do is get ready for the day. I would thoroughly enjoy sitting and watching her fascinated as she got ready, doing her hair, and makeup, and putting on perfume to prepare for the day. She's a designer, so her day wouldn't start without taking that time to show herself some love. Now, I do the same thing. If I haven't gotten ready nicely, I feel like I can't move forward with my day. It makes such a difference when you wake up clean and feel good about yourself”.
Speaking about her mother’s unwavering guidance and support Alfia said, “I'm just beginning my journey, but my mom, especially in recent years, has been my support system, always encouraging me to pursue my dreams. Since it's Mother's Day, I must acknowledge that everything I am and hope to be is because of my mother and my grandmother (Nani). Without their guidance and support, I wouldn't be able to accomplish anything”.
She further revealed that one piece of advice from her Mom which changed her life. Alfia Jafry revealed, “My mom recently shared some wise advice with me, You know what? People are going to talk. People are going to judge and say whatever they want. Do what makes you happy. Since then, every day I strive to do things that bring me joy while ensuring I'm not hurting or disrespecting anyone or anything, and staying true to myself. I am looking forward to celebrating this special day when we all just chill with my mom and Nani, nothing too fancy. We'll spend time together, eat good food, and enjoy each other's company”.
