Devi Dutt and Guru Dutt Bollywood actor family legacy insights

Fondly remembering his elder legendary brother Guru Dutt ( Padukone) , his younger producer brother Devi Dutt ( of 'Masoom' 1983 classic movie fame)  recalled how he spent 'quality time' with Guru Dutt on his last day (Oct 9th 1964) in this world, Recalls Devi Dutt, " Not only did cheerful Guru Dutt buy new branded ready-made three shirts and trousers for me, as well as his two sons Tarun and Arun, from Colaba area, he also gave me Two Passes for my wife Mrs Chanda Dutt and for me to attend a cricket test-match happening at Brabourne Stadium. When we later reached back at home at Peddar Road, Guru Dutt in a happy mood, himself prepared delicious egg-omelettes for me and the rest of us, Until late evening I was there with him, and was quite fit and fine and then i left. The next day morning ( Oct 10th 1964) shockingly, he was no more, apparently due to an 'accidental' overdose of slipping pills and drinks as he suffered from frequent insomnia. .. It was 'not' at all a case of suicide, because we were supposed to meet next day and during the next week to finalize the shooting schedules of his under-production movie 'Baharein Phir Bhi Aayengi'  which finally released in 1966 with Dharmendra as the romantic hero," recalls Devi Dutt ( Padukone) with tears in his eyes..  (Ranbir Kapoor appreciates Guru Dutt exhibition)
