Entertainer No: 1 Govinda, glamour-queen Urvashi Rautela, and 'surprise' mega-stars among Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Awardees 2025-- to be held on May 3rd! by Chaitanya Padukone

This year (2025 ), the grand star-studded annual genuine prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Awards (DPFAA) event will be held ( strictly by Invitation Only) on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, late evening,  at a famous auditorium in Juhu-JVPD area.  The glittering event will witness the presence of a galaxy of both iconic veterans and young popular celeb star actors, singers, composers, film-makers and senior cine-technicians and eminent senior news-media personalities--most of whom would be honored on stage.  The Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Awards event co-hosted by experienced names in the organizing committee including multi-talented eminent creative personality writer-poet-director Ashfaque Khopekar ( President), dynamic creative producer Ashok Shekhar ( Vice-President), noted industry active veteran producer Babubhai Thiba ( Sr.Vice-President) is considered as one of the oldest genuine, bona fide Film, TV and OTT Awards. This Awards institution named after Phalke-saab as it is officially backed by 32 cine-trade-crew Associations of the Bollywood Film Industry. The DPFAA  also recognizes and rewards the senior-most  ‘pardey-ke-pechhey’ hard-working, hugely talented cine-technicians from different diverse production and post-production departments, who are actually the  ‘pardey-ke peechhey’-- ‘unsung heroes’ !  According to Ashok Shekhar, “ we are expecting a fairly large number of invited famous Film, TV and music luminaries as guests and awardees and in their presence,  evergreen iconic legend Govinda,  glamour –queen Urvashi Rautela and surprise mega-stars who are super-actors will be honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Awards 2025-- to be held on Saturday May 3rd  in the evening. This event would coincide with the pioneer-visionary legendary film-maker Father-Of-Indian-Cinema Dadasaheb Phalke 155th Birth Anniversary ( April 30th  ) week, as the pioneer visionary cinema icon was born on April 30th, 1870. 

It may be recalled that, until many years ago, it was prestigious, original annual Dadasaheb Phalke Awards Academy, which was well-managed by senior-most film industry stalwarts. Unfortunately, most of them passed away due to ill-health and advancing age. Later on, the entire awards nominations-presentation was taken over since the past decade, by the newly formed Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation which had the blessings and approval of the original Phalke Academy Officials including senior Academy trustee---charismatic and dynamic Neena Jalan ( former noted movie actress and who as corporate  ‘director’ of the famous iconic Filmistan Studios gave it a new lease of life ). 

Speaking to me, Neena Jalan said, “Honestly I am delighted and impressed that the dedicated core team Ashok Shekhar,  Ashfaque Khopekar and Babubhai Thiba and their associates have ensured that the ‘torch-flame’ of cinematic genius Dadasaheb’s vision will always be burning bright and that the ‘show-must-go-on’  with their genuine, authentic annual Phalke Film Foundation Awards. Although my health is not okay, yet I will be extending my moral support and I will attend their Foundation Awards event this Saturday evening, “ assured Neena Jalan.
