Recently, actor, model, and fitness trainer Pratik Sehajpal, first runner-up of Bigg Boss 15, and actress-model Edin Rose, who appeared as a wild card in Bigg Boss 18, released their new video album song “Balma”. The song is sung by Sakshi Holkar and is currently being well received. A few days ago, the song’s actor Pratik Sehajpal and singer Sakshi Holkar gave an exclusive interview. Let’s find out what they shared during this conversation.

• Your video album song “Balma” has been receiving a lot of love since its release. It’s garnered great views in just a few days. How did this song originate? What was the idea behind it?

Sakshi – When the scratch of “Balma” was made, Abeer was the one who wrote it. As soon as I heard the lyrics, I found them really beautiful. Then, Mandeep Panghal composed the tune. We went to the studio, recorded the song, and it turned out really beautiful. Watching the video made it even more fun.

Pratik – When I arrived on set, Shabina Khan ma’am, who directed the song, and choreographer Sherjil Khan sir had created an amazing setup. The whole vibe felt like a Bollywood song — the kind that comes in during an action sequence. Everything was fun, and everyone worked really hard.

• When you finished the video, did you expect it to receive such love?

Sakshi – Yes, the real reward for our hard work comes when the audience loves it. The song is trending at number three on Instagram, and people are making reels on it — that means it’s a hit!

Pratik – What made me happiest was finding out that Sakshi was singing the song. Her tracks are our favorites — like “Mujhe Apna Bana Le” (Film: Bhediya)! And when I learned that Edin Rose was dancing in it, I said yes without hesitation.

• Do you have any specific criteria when choosing scripts or songs?

Pratik – I only do what I truly feel from the heart. I try to take up a variety of projects, but I choose only what genuinely clicks with me. I leave the rest to God. I’m just happy that I keep getting opportunities that match my taste.

• Would you both like to work on more music videos in the future?

Sakshi – Absolutely, it’s all about teamwork. When the response is good, it motivates you to do more. We want to bring more good music ahead.

Pratik – More songs will keep coming — we just hope people listen with love and connect with them. We’ll keep doing our work with all our heart.

• Was there anything memorable during the shoot that you'd like to share with us?

Pratik – The experience of shooting this song was truly great. Everything was well-prepared in advance, and everyone was dedicated to their roles. Everyone gave their best for this song.

• Do you choose your singers personally?

Pratik (jokingly) – From now on, the singer will only be who I choose! But honestly, it all depends on the voice — whether I can see myself in that voice or not.

• What message would you like to give your audience?

Pratik – I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for the way you accept us — with all our flaws and strengths. Your love is our biggest motivation. We worked hard on this song, and we’ll continue working with the same passion in the future.
