"Hai woh Jurrat"? --Hai Sirjee" power-dialogues triggers patriotic sentiments in family entertainer war-zone blockbuster 'Border-2' produced by T-Series and J P Films!! By Sr. Journalist Chaitanya Padukone

The mind-blowing latest Border 2 trailer, released last Thursday evening, has electrified audiences and has won phenomenal response with its high-octane action and soul-stirring patriotism. The show-stopper of  this authentic war blockbuster ( releasing this Friday, Jan 23rd )  is macho Sunny Deol’s thunderous return, punctuated by the standout dialogue line: "Jung hathiyaaron se nahi, JURRAT se jeeti jaati hai!" (War is not won with weapons, but with courage !) Hai woh JURRAT? Hai Sirjee ! .

Directed by talented yet modest Anurag Singh, the sequel Border-2 significantly expands the scope of the 1997 classic by showcasing a unique unified front of the three defense forces Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

For those not so well-versed, the historical war-action thriller Akshay Kumar-starrer superhit movie Kesari-1 (2019) was also helmed by director-co-writer Anurag Singh, who has directed the Border-2 sequel, taking over from legendary film-maker J P Dutta,  who serves as the prime producer-writer here, while talented daughter Nidhi Dutta is the co-producer.

Macho he-man Sunny Deol reprises his role as a commanding battalion leader, anchoring the film with his signature enraged expressions and roaring vocal fiery intensity. while rugged Varun Dhawan leads the ground assault with a gritty, Haryanvi-accented performance.

The charismatic actor-pop-playback singer Diljit Dosanjh looks convincing as a daring Flying IAF Officer who dominates the skies in fierce aerial combat sequences. Tall, smart Ahan Shetty, as a brave Naval Officer, takes charge of high-risk naval operations, carrying forward the military legacy of his father, iconic senior macho-actor Suniel Shetty, who has also put in a cameo role in Border-2!

The gripping trailer with brilliant background music by genius John Stewart Eduri is packed with "goosebumps-worthy" hard-hitting dialogues and one-liners that have already gone viral. Beyond the central "Jurrat" theme, fans are raving about Sunny Deol’s fierce warning to the enemy: "Tum humein kya haraoge... tumhare Pakistan mein itne log nahi jitne humare yahan Eid par bakre kaate jaate hain". Another nostalgic highlight features the iconic call-and-response, "Awaaz kahan tak jaani chahiye? Lahore tak!".

The trailer-teaser also showcases the film's talented, charming female leads Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, and debutante Medha Rana. 

According to Border-2 visionary producer Bhushan Kumar (MD of T-Series) and co-producer Nidhi Dutta 'Border-2'---  despite being a patriotic authentic period- spectacular war-action film, Border-2  also has its under-current portions of relatable sensitive romance, drama, intense family emotions, and of course melodious songs including Border (1997) four evergreen iconic songs ( recreated by Mithoon )including 'Ghar Kab Aaoge' and 'Jaate Hue Lamhon', Mohabbat Ho Gayi, and Hindustan Meri Jaan, all infused with fresh modern orchestral elements, without disturbing the soul of the original evergreen songs. In addition, there are multiple new original songs as well, like  'Pyaari Lage', Ishq Da Chehra', out of which  Mitti Ke Bete and Tara Rum Pum are composed by Mithoon!

  
Filmed across diverse locations like the deserts of Rajasthan and real-world naval bases using the INS Vikrant, the production offers a sharp upgrade in visual effects and sound design. Scheduled for a worldwide solo release on January 23, 2026, the film Border 2 is strategically timed for the Republic Day long weekend, with industry experts predicting a bumper blockbuster box-office opening !
