In 2023 and beyond, Akshay Kumar has been part of several high-profile projects (Selfie, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sarfarosh, Mission Raniganj, and Sky Force), but over the past few years, many of his films have not performed as expected at the box office. As a result, he has often faced criticism. Now, the actor has spoken candidly about it, saying that sometimes when the criticism is too harsh, it does hurt him.

In a recent interview with the Zee Music company, Akshay Kumar discussed criticism and his fears. When asked if he gets hurt by criticism, he responded, "The audience is the real boss because they are the ones who pay for the entire experience. When they clap for me, it motivates me, and when they criticize, it teaches me something. I always want to improve my work. When I receive honest feedback from the audience, whether it's about my acting or the script, I don’t want to ignore it. At times, I’ve even changed things based on what the audience said."

Akshay further added, "Criticism can be painful at times, but if it comes from the heart, it helps you become better."
