Jay Soni Becomes Big FM’s First Digital Jockey, Launches Gujarat Diaries Series

Big FM’s First Digital Jockey: "Actor Jay Soni, known for TV serials like 'Sasural Genda Phool', 'Ba Bahoo Aur Baby', 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa', 'Nach Baliye', and recently 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', will now be seen in a new avatar as India's first Big FM Digital Jockey. Through his Gujarat Diaries, he will share the unexplored aspects of Gujarat with the world. Here's an exclusive conversation with Jay Soni

Q1: Tell us about Big FM Digital Jockey and how you agreed to this project?

Jay Soni: I'm thrilled to talk about Digital Jockey! Big FM approached me, and I found the idea exciting. Exploring Gujarat and showcasing its culture in a new way attracted me. I'm now excited to be part of this new journey. You've heard of VJs and RJs, but now it's time to meet Digital Jockeys!

Q2: How excited are you to be a Gujarati and representing Gujarat as a Digital Jockey?

Jay Soni: I feel fortunate to share Gujarat's essence with fans worldwide. This initiative is fantastic, and people will now know about Gujarat's food, places, and culture. My fans will feel a personal connection.

Q3: What kind of songs do you like? Folk songs?

Jay Soni: Yes, I love folk Gujarati songs like "Mor Bani Thanghat Kare..." and "Wagyo Re Dhol...". These songs recharge me and connect me to Gujarati culture. I enjoy attending concerts by Aditya Gadhvi and other Gujarati singers.

Q4: What's your take on actors working across platforms like OTT, film, TV, radio, and digital?

Jay Soni: It's great! If a project excites an actor, they should do it. That's why people are working across platforms. I'm excited to be India's first Big FM Digital Jockey – it's new and exciting for me!
