The special screening of Anurag Kashyap’s directorial Kennedy witnessed the presence of many Bollywood celebrities. Story of ‘Kennedy’
The film is set against the backdrop of Mumbai’s underworld. Kennedy, also known as Uday Shetty, is a former police officer who has now turned into a contract killer. He leads a double life as a cab driver while carrying out assassinations for a corrupt police commissioner. Haunted by the loss of his son and a broken family, Kennedy finds himself trapped in a web of bomb blasts, extortion rackets and powerful conspiracies. What follows is a violent race for truth, revenge and freedom.
Rahul Bhat on His Role
Speaking about his character, Rahul Bhat said, “Playing Kennedy changed me as a person. He is lonely, extremely angry and emotionally vulnerable from within. He is constantly running from his past. Living in his silence and rage was exhausting but also deeply transformative.”
Starring Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone in lead roles, Kennedy is a mood-based, character-centric neo-noir crime thriller. The film was released in theatres on February 20. It has also received appreciation at major international platforms, including the Cannes Film Festival.
