Know the real story of the film ‘Chandu Champion’

A poster that has made the heroine of Bollywood blush!

It rarely happens when a poster of a film is released and after seeing it people say – Wow! This has happened in Bollywood. Recently, the poster of the film "Chandu Champion" was released and on the poster, Kartik Aryan is seen running wearing a red loincloth. Seeing his gymnastic look, Bollywood heroines also wrote along with people on social media and their 'x' accounts. Wow! Wonderful!! Incredible!!! Let us tell you that on June 14, 2024, the trio of Kartik Aryan, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Kabir Khan are going to be a big attraction in theaters with the story of 'Chandu Champion'. This is a sports biopic drama film based on the story of a disabled soldier who won a gold medal in the Paralympics.

This film is based on the real story of 'Chandu Champion' i.e. Murlikant Petkar. Murlikant Petkar was a soldier who was born in Sangli Peth Islampur, Maharashtra. He was fond of boxing. He joined the Army as a Craftsman and was in Electronic and Mechanical Engineering (EME). He was associated with Boxing in Secunderabad EME. There he was popular as Chandu Champion. In 1965, when the Pakistan-India war broke out, Petkar had gone out to drink tea when he was hit by bullets in an airstrike. He was hit by several bullets and he also got hit by one there. Bullets were fired. It is said that a bullet remained in his spinal cord. But he did not give up on life. Did not let his disability become a weakness. He started swimming, playing table tennis and other sports.

Muralikant participated in the 1972 Summer Paralympics in Heidelberg, Germany. With his preparation and hard work, he won the gold medal for the best swimmer. This was India's first gold medal on the world stage in a swimming event. In the same event, he became a finalist by participating in three more sports. Kartik Aryan became very excited after hearing the story of Murlikant Petkar's biography. Although Kartik was not the first choice of the film's writer-director Kabir Khan, he wanted to cast the late Sushant Singh Rajput but was unable to give time to Sushant due to his busy schedule. During this time Sushant died. He was found dead in his house. This date was 14 June 2020 and "Chandu Champion" is being released on the same day, 14 June 2024.

One of the reasons for making this joint venture of Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan with Kartik was that Kartik is a good friend of Sajid and before the start of the film, he had promised that there would be no letup in the preparations. Kartik has worked hard for one and a half years and has given that figure for which Bollywood heroines Katrina, Bhumi, Ananya, etc. are showering their appreciation on Kartik by writing 'Wow'. Why not, after his previous film 'Satya Prem Ki Katha', Sajid had 39% fat in his body, before the release of this film, only 7% fat was left in his body. Steroids are not the reason for this change in Kartik. It is his hard work that has surprised everyone.

Kartik has played the role of Chandu (Murlikant Petkar) on screen in the film "Chandu Champion", which is going to be released in theaters next month. Other actors in the film are Katrina Kaif, Bhuvan Arora, Palak Lalwani, Adanis, Rajpal Yadav, Vijayraj, etc. The writers are - Kabir Khan, Sumit Arora, and Rohit Shukre, and the music is by Pritam. This film of Nadiadwala Grandson is exciting to the audience.
