Giving information about this, the team of IC 814 The Kandahar Hijack organized a press conference. • Within a few days, this web series is getting a very good response? What do you want to say about this?

On this, Sarita replied that the response this film is getting is very good and I come from an aircraft background. We were working on this for the last 5 years. I had to tell everyone what exactly happened in that aircraft and when you have people like Anubhav Sinha to lead, then you will definitely get a good response.

• The response of the web series was very good in the first week of its release. Could you trust this response?

After the release, I had expected such a response but when I got this response, I felt very good. Thank you very much to all of you for doing this web series. I stand up and thank everyone.

• Before this, you have written a great web series like Jamtara and now this. How do you write this?

Responding to this, Nishant said, "We did a lot of research and meetings for this web series. Writing was the last stage of it. That's why it took a long time of 5 years to do it. But it was great."

• The time when the Kandahar incident happened. At that time all the actors sitting here were born. Nasrudin Shah Sir, do you remember anything about the time when that accident happened and how did you feel when that accident was depicted in this web series?

When this incident happened, I was about 50 years old. I remember that I was very upset. I was afraid that this would ignite another wave of Islamophobia. Fortunately, it did not happen at that time. I remember that I was very worried about the situation and its outcome. I was struggling with a feeling of uneasiness. I cannot explain why I felt this way, but I felt that the passengers and the pilot must have gone through a terrible time. But there was no solution to it. I remember that I felt like this. But when I worked with 7-8 great artists, my experience was very good.

• Pawan Sir, earlier you were not a part of this web series, but then later you joined it. What is the story behind this?

When I got the script of this web series, it was in 200 pages and I had a shortage of time at that time, so I thought that I would not do it. But I had to know about my character in the web series and when I came to know this, I liked my character. I came to know that great actors like Naseeruddin Shah are also associated with this series. Apart from this, I was also very impressed with the writing of the series. So I thought it right to take out time and do this series and in this way I joined this series.

• Anubhav Sir, in this project of yours, like a cricket team, there are many great artists one after the other. What would you like to say about this?

Working with 8-9 amazing actors is really amazing. All of them have different preparations. All of them are down to earth actors. I have never had such an experience in my 31 years of directing career. Those 6 days were memorable moments for me. It felt like there were many wonderful butterflies in front of me and I was just capturing them with a camera.

• Manoj Sir, you have been working with such great actors for many years, was it easy to work with them or did the pressure double?

When you are working with such great actors, the pressure on you increases. Also, there is always a danger of getting scolded. Because of this, there was a little nervousness too.

• Kumud Sir and Manoj Sir, we have heard that both of you are very fun loving. What fun did you both have on the set of this series or did you do serious work?

See, serious work cannot be done with Manoj bhai. We have two stories going on, one where there is no camera and the other where there is a camera. Anubhav takes this point further and tells that when I was explaining the scene to Pankaj and Naseeruddin sir, Manoj and Kumud both used to smile and tease me from a distance. I have a photo of this too.

• Vijay, you have played many different roles till now and in this you have become a captain. Have you found something different from your character in this web series?

When I saw my character in this series, I found that yes, I have done something different in it. Many times you do not do anything, everything happens on its own. I am thankful that I met the real-life Captain Devisharan and I got to know his personality, his soul and tried to bring it into the character. I remember once Naseeruddin sir told me to use my imagination and that is what I did.

• Casting is a big part of any show. When an actor who has an image of a comedian is made a villain, is there anything different to see?

Casting is also a part of writing. We were casting the actors as well. Vijay and Arvind were the first ones we cast. After this Nasruddin Sir and Pankaj Sir. Then slowly everyone joined and a great star cast was ready.

Let us tell you that this series is based on the book 'Flight into Fear', which was written by the pilot of this flight, Captain Devi Sharan himself.
