The Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Campaign hosted an inspiring Cycle Rally today to encourage eligible citizens across Mumbai to actively participate in the upcoming Maharashtra State Assembly Election on November 20, 2024, with the rally designed to celebrate democracy, urging all to treat Election Day not as just another holiday but as a festival of civic duty, drawing over 200 enthusiastic cyclists who joined hands to promote voter awareness alongside prominent personalities and officials, including Hon. Municipal Commissioner and District Election Officer Mumbai - Shri Bhushan Gagrani, Election Observer - Shri Narinder Singh Bali, Suburban and Additional District Election Officer - Shri Rajendra Kshirsagar, Jt. Municipal Commissioner Vishvas Shankarwar & Deputy Municipal Commissioner - Shri Vishvas Mote, Deputy Commissioner BMC - Assistant commissioner Chakrapani Alle, Manish Walanju and Deputy Collector and Returning Officer for 165 Andheri West - Vaishali Pardeshi Thakur.
The rally also saw Bollywood celebrities Shreyas Talpade and Padmini Kolhapure, Prominent advocates for environmental and community causes, besides Dr. (Hon) Anusha Srinivasan Iyer of the Make Earth Green Again (MEGA) Foundation and Vineet Mittal of Avaada Foundation, who took an oath to vote and delivered motivational messages to the gathering, emphasizing the power of each vote in shaping the future.
Speaking at the event, Shri Bhushan Gagrani remarked, "Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. It is imperative that every eligible citizen participates in the electoral process to shape the future of our state. Let us come together and make this election a true celebration of our democratic values."
