During his visit, Shri Nitish Mishra had a highly productive meeting with IMPPA office bearers namely IMPPA President Shri Abhay Sinha, Sr. Vice President Ms. Sushama Shiromanee, Shri Surendra alias Tinu Verma Vice President IMPPA, Treasurer Shri Babubhai Thiba, General Secretary Shri Kukoo Kohli and members of the Executive Committee Shri Ashoke Pandit, Shri Nishant Ujjwal, Shri Sanjeev Singh and Shri Yusuf Shaikh. The focus of the meeting was the promotion of Bihar as a premier filming destination. Nitish Mishra Urges IMPPA to Promote Bihar as a Top Film Destination The Minister informed about the excellent locations and facilities available throughout Bihar which can be viewed on the website of Bihar Tourism Ministry and encouraged IMPPA to play an active role in promoting Bihar as a top film destination, ensuring the state’s potential is fully utilized by the film industry. The discussion also covered the recently announced Bihar Film Policy, which, while approved, is yet to be implemented. IMPPA representatives expressed their hope that the policy when fully executed would introduce a host of benefits and incentives for film producers, so that Bihar can be fully exploited as a shooting location. They also stressed the need for proper infrastructure and facilities to be in place for smooth and successful film production to make Bihar a top choice for filmmakers across the country. The Hon'ble Minister assured full support and cooperation from the Government to boost Bihar’s status as a leading film shooting destination.
