Parineeti Chopra Attends Brother’s Pre-Wedding Solo as Husband Focuses on Elections

The pre-wedding festivities for Priyanka Chopra’s younger brother, Siddharth Chopra, including the Haldi and Sangeet ceremonies, kicked off on February 4 in Mumbai, bringing the entire Chopra family together. However, there was one notable absence at the event—Parineeti Chopra, Priyanka’s cousin sister. While Priyanka's in-laws from the U.S. and her daughter, Malti Marie, arrived on time, the absence of Parineeti sparked a flurry of speculations. People started to wonder whether there was a falling out between the two sisters, or if maybe Parineeti hadn’t received an invitation at all.

While Priyanka’s husband, Nick Jonas, couldn’t attend the pre-wedding celebration due to a prior commitment, his parents made it, and no one questioned Nick’s absence. Priyanka herself took charge of all the arrangements. It was said that Nick would attend the wedding itself, but no clear reason was given for Parineeti’s absence. This left people speculating whether there was something amiss between the sisters.

Parineeti’s Absence at Siddharth’s Wedding Sparks Buzz

Two years ago, when Parineeti got engaged to Raghav Chadha in a ceremony at Pandra House in Delhi, Priyanka and Nick had flown in from New York to be part of the occasion. Now, when Siddharth was getting married to Neelam Upadhyay, Parineeti’s absence raised some eyebrows. Adding to the mystery, Parineeti posted a cryptic story that read: “Life is borrowed. Care for those who care for you, forget about the rest,” which further fueled speculation. It was also mentioned that Parineeti was in Mumbai for a shoot, but considering that she mostly lives in Delhi, her absence at such a significant family event raised questions.

However, Parineeti’s parents did attend the celebrations, and it was rumored that Parineeti would join the venue on the wedding day with her husband, Raghav. Meanwhile, Priyanka’s other cousins, Manara, Mitali, and others, kept the atmosphere lively. During the Haldi ceremony, things became as colorful as Holi, with the cousins even tearing Siddharth’s kurta in fun. Priyanka’s mother-in-law also had a blast, dancing with the other women in traditional Indian style. During the Sangeet, Priyanka herself danced with her sisters on songs from her and Shah Rukh Khan's movies, making the event unforgettable. While everything was in full swing, people couldn’t help but notice Parineeti’s absence, especially since she is the second most popular celebrity in the family after Priyanka.

On the film front, Parineeti’s last movie was Chamkila with Daljeet Dosanjh. Other notable films of hers include Ishaqzaade, Golmaal Again, Hasee Toh Phasee, Jabariya Jodi, Shuddh Desi Romance, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, Namaste England, Kill Bill, Uunchai, Mission Rani Ganj, and more. Rumor has it that she might have been caught up with shooting during the pre-wedding events.

However, the real reason for Parineeti’s absence at Siddharth’s pre-wedding festivities has now come to light, and it's sure to make everyone smile. A friend revealed that Parineeti’s husband, Raghav Chadha, was busy with election campaigning. The Haldi and Sangeet ceremonies were held around February 5, the same time as the Delhi Assembly Election. Raghav, who is a Rajya Sabha MP from the Aam Aadmi Party, was in Rajinder Nagar, where he had contested the 2020 MLA elections. His responsibility was to bolster the party’s candidate in that region, campaigning against the BJP. Additionally, he had other crucial responsibilities, including working on legislative matters in Delhi and the Punjab by-elections. So, how could Parineeti attend the pre-wedding events without her husband, especially when he had such important commitments?

Now, it’s clear that Parineeti’s absence wasn’t due to any family issues, but simply because of Raghav’s election-related responsibilities.
