Shilpa Shetty's Husband Raj Kundra Faces Increased Troubles, ED Issues Fresh Summons

Priyanka Yadav | Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra is facing mounting legal troubles, as his involvement in the illegal distribution of adult films continues to drag him into controversy. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a new summons to Raj Kundra in connection with a money laundering case linked to the illicit distribution of obscene content. He has been asked to appear before the agency today, December 4. According to official sources, Raj was initially asked to appear on Monday but requested a new date, after which the ED granted him today’s deadline.

Previously, Raj Kundra had claimed that he was fully cooperating with the investigation and maintained that there was no substantial evidence against him. He also asserted that he had been falsely implicated and was being made a scapegoat in this case. However, back in 2021, the ED had interrogated Kundra, following which he was sent to jail.

Police had revealed earlier that, during the investigation, it was discovered that some aspiring actors were promised roles in web series or short films, with the condition of performing "bold" scenes. These actors were allegedly invited for auditions, where they were coerced into performing scenes that later turned into semi-nude or nude sequences, against their will.

Furthermore, the police told the court that their investigation revealed Raj Kundra’s role in setting up "Armsprime Media Pvt Ltd," which, through a London-based company, Kenrin Pvt Ltd, purchased the “Hotshots” app. This app was then used to upload “objectionable videos” on social media platforms.

On the personal front, Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty tied the knot in 2009. The couple has two children: a son, Viaan, and a daughter, Samisha. They often share photos and videos of their family life on social media. Recently, on November 22, 2024, the couple celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary, marking a special milestone in their journey together.
