He said, “Through social media and even beyond it, many people supported me mentally, emotionally, and financially. I bow down to all of them. I have been among you for 30 years. Whoever helped me, please send your account details. I only need some time. Your love is already with me. Every single penny will be returned with gratitude. I may never be able to repay this emotional debt in my lifetime.”

Children Even Broke Their Piggy Banks
Rajpal revealed that many fans, including children, contributed money to help him. “In the last 20 days, from children breaking their piggy banks to support received through social media, over ₹1 crore has come in. I will soon release a statement mentioning the names of a few people whom I especially want to thank,” he said.

His Stand on the Agreement
Speaking about the cheque bounce case and his work, Rajpal said he has been working in the industry for 26 years and signed nearly 200 agreements ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹15 lakh.
“If I had fought over agreements, why would there be only one case against me? I’ve been asked where ₹5 crore came from and where it went. I am a man associated with projects worth ₹1,500 crore. I am ready to stand by the film, but trapping people over money is wrong,” he stated.

Strong Reaction Against Complainants
Rajpal alleged that the intentions of certain individuals were not right and described the matter as a battle of ego. “If life were as cheap as a viral video, I would have fallen at their feet. In the end, nothing goes with us except a shroud. Always work with good intentions. Positive intentions bring positive results,” he said.
He claimed the deal was verbal and based on trust, calling it a “family matter.” According to him, he had promised to return ₹8 crore after the film’s release. He also revealed that no lawyer was involved at the time of the agreement. However, before he could elaborate further, his lawyer intervened and said that if trusting someone was a mistake, it was Rajpal’s mistake.
Lawyer’s Statement
Rajpal’s lawyer stated that the complainant had claimed in a press conference that he did not want Rajpal to go to jail, calling that statement false.
“In 2018, Rajpal deposited a security amount in court and was ready to attach property documents. But the complainant refused and insisted on sending him to jail. Had the security been accepted, the case would have ended in 2018,” the lawyer said, alleging that false narratives were being spread to damage the actor’s image.

Warning to the Industry
Defending the film industry, Rajpal said firmly: “If a film works, everything is good. If it fails, Bollywood is blamed? I will not allow Bollywood to be abused.” In his signature style, he added, “Rajpal Yadav is a king. Whether in the jungle or in jail, a king remains a king.” He also urged the film federation to introduce a standard agreement format to avoid such disputes in the future.
On Sonu Sood’s Support
Rajpal also reacted to reports that Sonu Sood had offered him work during his legal troubles. He said, “Please don’t assume that I have to repeatedly ask for work. There is no shame in asking for work, but I live through my work. Cinema is my passion. Work doesn’t search for me; it has been with me for the last 11 years.”

Response to Priyadarshan’s Comment
Rajpal addressed director Priyadarshan’s remark linking his mistake to lack of education. “Education has nothing to do with this. I am educated. If I weren’t, I wouldn’t have survived in the industry for 25–30 years,” he clarified.
He also stated that there is no bitterness between him and Priyadarshan and expressed deep respect for him, as well as for Ram Gopal Varma and David Dhawan.
Upcoming Projects
Rajpal shared that he is currently working on Bhoot Bangla and Welcome to the Jungle, which features 27 actors and a character called “Haivaan.” He also has two web series and two films in the pipeline but refrained from revealing details. What Is the Cheque Bounce Case?
In 2010, Rajpal Yadav produced his directorial debut film Ata Pata Laapata and reportedly took a loan of approximately ₹5 crore from Murli Projects Private Limited.
The film failed at the box office, leading to delays in loan repayment. The cheques issued by him allegedly bounced, after which a case was filed under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. The Delhi High Court gave him several opportunities to repay the amount. However, due to non-payment, he was ordered to surrender on February 4.
After complying with legal procedures and depositing a partial amount, he was granted bail after 13 days in jail. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for March 18.
