Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon will be seen playing the Great lady, Hiraben Modi, who is the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The film 'Maa Vande' will be a special look into Modi ji's life, showing the emotional beauty and depth of the bond between mother and son on the big screen. The film is directed by Kranthi Kumar C.H.  Malayalam super actor  Unni Mukundan will play the role of Narendra Modi.

Raveena Tandon Honors Hiraben’s Quiet Strength

Raveena Tandon has described the role as full of inner strength, depth, and patience. She said that Hiraben faced many hard times in her life, like losing her mother as a child and then taking care of her siblings, and helping her family from a young age. The film tells the story of a strong woman who calmly looked after her family and kept them together.

Unni Mukundan announced his role as Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on his social media account on Modi Ji's birthday, September 17, 2025. He called this moment a revolution and said that the story tells the life journey of India's greatest leader, who rose above the norm. Unni mentioned that every part of our Prime Minister, Modi Ji's life will be shown in the film with top-level and world-class technology and VFX. He said, "While growing up in Ahmedabad, I first knew him as my Chief Minister when I was a child. Many Years later, in the month of April 2023, I got the chance to meet him, and that very moment left a deep impression on me. Shri Narendra Modi Ji said to me in Gujarati, ‘Jhookvanu Nai,’ which means ‘Never Bow Down.’ Those two words have remained a source of strength and determination for me ever since.” 

In a press statement, the makers of the film said that 'Maa Vande' is based on real events and will show Modi’s journey from childhood to becoming India’s Prime Minister. 

But unlike usual political dramas, the story underlines  Heeraben, the mother who instilled a sense of duty, compassion, and perseverance in young Narendra Modi Ji. The film promises to explore the emotional and spiritual foundation behind one of India’s most influential figures. 

The film’s music will be composed by Ravi Basrur, the person behind the powerful score of KGF, and A. Sreekar Prasad will handle the editing. 

Produced by Veer Reddy M. under the Silver Cast Creations banner, Maa Vande aims to be both a big visual spectacle and a heartfelt tribute.. It is a story of love, hardships, and a mother’s strong belief in her son’s destiny. The film Maa Vande will show Narendra Modi Ji's journey from childhood to his time as Prime Minister, focusing mainly on the bond between Modi and his mother. With the rising interest in political biopics in India, this film is seen as an important project.
The film's crew includes K.K. Senthil Kumar, who has worked on films like Baahubali and Eega with cinematography by Raviroor. Music by Srikar Prasad will be handled by the film's editors.
