Post Sundance, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal's production "Girls Will Be Girls" selected for the prestigious TIFF Next Wave Film Festival 2024.

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal's most acclaimed production venture, "Girls Will Be Girls" has been officially selected for screening at this year's TIFF Next Wave Film Festival. The highly awaited festival is scheduled to run from April 11 to April 14 and includes a screening of "Girls Will Be Girls" on April 14.

Girls Will Be Girls: TIFF Premiere

Having previously premiered at many prestigious film festivals such as the Sundance Film Festival and South by Southwest Film Festival, the addition of, “Girls Will Be Girls” to the line up of TIFF, creates another significant milestone for the film and its creators.

The superstars, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, both have expressed their heartfelt happiness at the news.

Richa Chadha shared her excitement and said, “It is a really huge honor for our film, to be selected in, for TIFF Next Wave. It is incredibly gratifying to see our film loved by the audiences, all around the world and being recognized by such prestigious festivals.

Our film, 'Girls Will Be Girls' is a project that is very close to all of our hearts, and it has been truly overwhelming to see the journey of our film, from conceiving it to being screened at TIFF. We poured our heart and soul into this film, in hopes of sparking some truly meaningful conversations and connecting with the diverse audiences on a deeper level. Now the fact, that it is making waves on all the international platforms is proof to the universal themes it is exploring, and the dedication of our entire team. Ali Fazal also echoed the sentiments of his beautiful actor superstar wife, saying, “Participating in TIFF Next Wave is a like a dream come true for any filmmaker.
