At the recent media conference of movie ‘Bad Newz’, popular star hero Vicky  Kaushal was honest and friendly when he was asked—when he would share the ‘good news’ of his real-life star –wife Katrina Kaif (pregnancy news) . With a cool, swag, without getting irritated Vicky cheerfully answered and assured. “I will not shy away from sharing personal good news with the media, when the right time comes”.

Vicky’s co-stars are the gorgeous dare-bare hottie Tripti Dimri ( of superhit ‘Animal’ fame) in a comedy-avataar and the multi-talented Ammy Virk, director Anand Tiwari and big boss Karan Johar appreciated and clapped at Vicky’s smart presence of mind.

What nobody seems to have observed is the amazing coincidence that the movie ‘Bad Newz’ releases on July 19th, just two days after (Vicky’s wife) Katrina Kaif’s birthday on July16th.

Also,  the evergreen song  “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’ from Karan Johar’s producer-father Yash Johar’s hit musical movie ‘Duplicate’ (1998) has been smartly reprised-recreated in this ‘Bad Newz’ ( 2024) and beautifully blends with the vibrant visuals in the background music in its trending viral trailer.     
Showman Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions seems to be stepping into the extra-bold yet entertaining zone.  In 2019 the Dharma banner co-produced this crazy comedy movie Good Newwz which had a daring theme major blunder mistake-mix-up of in-vitro fertilization of sperms eggs involving two married star-couples. Now after five years Dharma is back again with a brand-new crazy comedy film titled Bad Newz which is not typical sequel, though. Yet again this daring comedy movie dives into the world of heteropaternal superfecundation.  This is a very rare medical phenomenon where twins are conceived by the same biological mother from ‘different fathers’.

The trailer for Bad Newz has generated significant viewers-buzz. Vicky Kaushal cast Akhil, while Triptii Dimri portrays sexy Saloni, the pregnant woman at the center of the comedic whirlwind. Ammy Virk completes the cast as Gurbir, the ‘doosra baap’ in this unexpected situation. The trailer offers a glimpse into the merry wild action-packed chaos that ensues when Saloni discovers her double-trouble pregnancy. The unimaginable scenario of twins with different fathers throws her life, and the lives of Akhil and Gurbir, into hilarious commotion.

Directed by the multi-talented Anand Tiwari ( of 'Majaa Maa' and 'Love Per Square Foot' fame)   movie Bad Newz is a fantastic collaboration between Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective. Produced by a team including Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, the film is slated for a theatrical release on July 19.
