Girls from small villages often dream of making it big in the glamour world of Mumbai, but only a few get the opportunity to see their dreams come true. One such girl is Ritika Kumawat, who once dreamt of Bollywood while living in a small village in Rajasthan. Ritika used to visit Mumbai now and then, but this time, the city of dreams has held on to her. Today, she is signed for the lead role in an OTT web series titled Kathputli.
Her dream of being a part of the glittering world of Mumbai, and never returning to her village, has been realized by the producers of Rain Drop Entertainment, Deepak Verma and Rajeev Kumar. The grand launch of this web series recently took place at the Raheja Classic Hotel, and currently, the music for the series is being recorded. Ritika is thrilled about this contract and credits her success to the unwavering support of her parents. "There were times when I felt disheartened and thought of returning to my village. But every time, my parents (Shri Shantilal Ji and Smt. Susheela Devi Ji) encouraged me, telling me that the right time would come and everything would fall into place. With the blessings of my guru, Guru Maharaj Brahmrishi Shri Kumar Swami Ji, that moment has finally arrived."
The director of Kathputli is Pankaj Kapoor, and the music for the series is composed by Ismail Darbar. Ritika is overwhelmed to be working alongside well-established Bollywood actors. The series, based on the theme of women empowerment, features Ritika Kumawat in the central role, and she is excited about the opportunity to portray such an impactful character.
