Ruhan Kapoor: Actor, Singer, and Son of Legendary Vocalist Mahendra Kapoor

Ruhan Kapoor took the fancy of the viewers with his first two films FAASLE & LOVE ‘86. Son of The Singing Legend Mahendra Kapoor, Ruhan is a Star who began his career at the young age of 16 years as an Assistant Director with Shri Manoj Kumar for the film KRANTI. After a crash course on acting with Roshan Taneja & Aatam Prakash, he became active on the stage with Shafi Inammdar and even acted for two of his most popular plays Neela Kamra & Adaa.

It was then that Shri Yash Chopra gave a break to Ruhan as a Hero in his Film FAASLE with Farha in the year 1985, and then came LOVE’86 which took the youth of the country by storm in which Govinda & Neelam Co-Starred with Ruhan. Then Producer / Director Prakash Mehra signed Ruhan for IMANDAAR with Sanjay Dutt, which got Ruhan lots of critical acclaim from the media as well as moviegoers. Then came “MASTI, MERA-NASEEB, MAHA-KALI, SUR-ASUR,” and many others. At present Ruhan is busy with the new wave; T.V. he has currently hosted AWAAZ KI DUNIYA as an Anchor & ANDAAZ as an Actor and many more to come.

SINGING was of-course in his blood, he started learning classical music at a young age from Pandit Tulsidaas Sharma and, late Chote Iqbal and is still learning from Music exponents Anwar Hussain & Pandit Murli Manohar Shukla. Ruhan has toured the entire world singing on the stage with his father and has been a Stage Performer from the age of Nine. Now Ruhan has now come out with a unique Pop Album called “Ishq Rab Ki Dua“ with 8 Melodious songs for ZEE MUSIC with Lyrics by Shyam Anuragi & was very well received by the Audiences & Critics as well.  

Ruhan is keeping his fingers crossed and working hard on his debut project to give the audiences something different keeping in mind, that people will have lots of expectations from the son of  Mahendra Kapoor. Watch out for him - he is aiming high- very very high with the grace of “THE ALMIGHTY” already crowned cap.
