Shahid Kapoor–Triptii Dimri Set the Stage on Fire at O'Romeo’s ‘Paan Ki Dukaan’ Song Launch

Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri are currently busy promoting their upcoming film O’Romeo, which is set to hit theatres soon. On Friday, the actors arrived in Mumbai for the launch event of the film’s latest song, ‘Paan Ki Dukaan’. Staying true to the song’s theme, several paan stalls were set up at the venue, adding a fun and vibrant touch to the event. The highlight of the evening was Shahid and Triptii grooving to the song, much to the delight of fans and media present.

The event saw a huge turnout of fans along with media professionals, who were given a chance to interact with the stars. A fan jokingly asked Shahid, “Has anyone played a shendi on you?” leaving everyone in splits. Responding humorously, Shahid said, “When promotions are going on, bro, shendi happens every day! Plans change daily, and there’s always a fear. You never know whether people will show up or not. These days, nothing is predictable!”

He further added, “I have played shendi in my life, and shendi has been played on me too. ‘Shendi’ is one of my favorite words. I usually add another word to it, which I can’t say here!”

Talking about the song’s choreography, Shahid revealed that it was completely spontaneous. “I didn’t rehearse for this song at all. I wrapped up Aashiqon Ki Colony and the very next day shot Paan Ki Dukaan. All the steps were created on the spot,” he said, adding that the song can be danced to “on stage, at parties, or even on the streets.”

Shahid and Triptii Share Their Paan Memories

During the event, Shahid also shared his love for paan. “I like sweet paan with a bit of gulkand. The sugar kick you get after eating paan helps you dance better,” he joked.

Triptii Dimri shared her own memory, saying, “I used to eat paan earlier. Today, I had it after a long time. As a kid, I once ate too much paan at a wedding and got completely fed up of it.”

When asked whether O’Romeo has more romance or anger, Shahid explained that every film has its own world. According to him, the relationship between Ustraa and Afsha in the film is very unique. “It’s an unrequited love story between an innocent girl and a dangerous don,” he revealed.

Shahid also shared an exciting update about Farzi 2. Responding to a fan’s question, he said, “I’ve already cut my hair for Farzi 2. The shooting will begin very soon.”

Triptii Dimri spoke about her experience working with director Vishal Bhardwaj, calling it a dream come true. “I’ve always wanted to work with Vishal sir. Under his direction, you completely open up as an actor,” she said. She also praised her co-star Shahid Kapoor, calling him extremely supportive and easy to work with on set.
During the interaction, when a fan complimented Triptii’s eyes, Shahid couldn’t stop himself from praising her. “She has beautiful eyes. There are many silent moments in the film, and Triptii has delivered a brilliant performance. This might just be the best performance of her career,” Shahid said.
