In the aftermath of Shefali Jariwala’s shocking and sudden death, Rozlyn Khan—actor and cancer warrior—has broken her silence on the beauty trends that many are following blindly. She believes people should be aware of anything and everything they consume either orally or through injections and be mindful of the consequences too.
In a video that she shared on Instagram, she said, “Hi guys, we can't even imagine that someone can die due to glutathione. Shefali Jariwala. I mean, I had taken this injection before my malignancy; it's very safe. Trust me, there are no side effects.”
But she was quick to issue a strong warning. She said, “First thing is this: you have to be sure that you don't have any medical issues,” adding that one should know if the doctor can be trusted and if the imported product is the right product.
Her focus then shifts to how people follow beauty trends without understanding how fatal it can be. She said, “If it's giving you fairness or glow in one shot, then it means that this is overdosed. People's expectations for glutathione injections have gone so high that they want fairness in one shot.”
She stressed how Indians love to use imported products but emphasized that using an imported perfume is different than taking an imported medicine. “When it comes to a medicine, you have to be very sure whether that medicine is not a duplicate.”
Korean Glass Skin Craze Slammed by Rozlyn Khan
Sharing her personal example, she shared that her sister runs three salons in Mumbai and gets such daily requests. She added, “She gets such daily requests that I want to get fair by applying glutathione. Then someone requests that I want to do a Korean glass facial. I mean, I don't understand that your skin is Indian, your genetics are Indian, your digestive system is Indian, your environment is Indian, and you want results. You are expecting K-drama results.”“It’s like you ate paneer and you are thinking that kimchi glow should come,” she added.
With her eye-opening video, Rozlynwasn’t just addressing vanity; in fact, she was trying to create awareness in the society that often runs behind trends. Her video is a reminder that beauty and wellness cannot be imported, and it is better to be informed and safe than to be sorry later.
