Shraddha Kapoor Joins Hollywood! To Voice Judy Hopps in Zootopia 2 Hindi

Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor is all set to make her mark on the global Hollywood stage. The actress will voice the lead character Judy Hopps in the Hindi version of Disney’s Oscar-winning animated film Zootopia’s sequel, Zootopia 2. Recently, the makers announced the news at a special press meet, where Shraddha shared her experience of being part of the project.

Disney India’s Representative Said

At the event, a Disney India representative said, “The beauty of Disney lies in the fact that its stories touch every generation. Zootopia is one such magical film — it makes you laugh but also conveys a deep message. In India, our stars play an important role in connecting global films with local audiences. After Shah Rukh Khan in Mufasa, Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra in Frozen, and Ananya Panday in Inside Out 2, we found the perfect fit for Zootopia 2 — Shraddha Kapoor. She’s as lively, sincere, and adorable as Judy Hopps herself.”

Shraddha Kapoor on Her Role

Expressing her excitement, Shraddha said, “My first Disney memory is probably connected to Cinderella and Snow White. I think every girl, at some point, relates to Cinderella — someone who wants to chase her dreams. Many of my childhood memories are tied to Disney movies, which is why being part of this film is very special to me.”

With a smile, she added, “I felt a deep connection with Judy Hopps. She’s also an Enthu Cutlet — someone who does everything with passion and love, but can be tough when needed. I’m exactly like that. As a child, my brother and I used to mimic people and talk in different voices in front of the mirror. So when I got this role, it felt like I was reliving my childhood.”

A Fun and Energetic Experience

Shraddha shared, “It was such a fun experience to voice a cute and energetic bunny! Dubbing for animated characters is very different — you have to modulate your voice in various ways — when the character is angry, playful, or emotional. Every scene demands a new energy. It gave me so much joy, and every time I went to the studio, my mood was instantly uplifted.”

She added, “Honestly, it feels like a childhood dream come true. Zootopia is one of those rare animated films that connects with audiences of all ages — kids, families, and friends. It’s full of laughter but also carries subtle life lessons. This is the first time I’ve lent my voice to an animated film, and the experience has been incredibly fun. I hope everyone enjoys hearing Judy Hopps in my voice.”

In a playful tone, Shraddha joked, “If Judy ever gets stuck in Mumbai traffic, she’ll probably sit calmly like a law-abiding citizen, take out a carrot, munch on it, and say — ‘Patience! I’ll reach on time!’”

Talking about her family, Shraddha said, “I have three ‘Nick Wildes’ in my life — my mom, dad, and brother. They’re always with me, my support system. I couldn’t do anything without them.” She added, “Actors are visible on screen, but the real hard work comes from the team behind the scenes. Every actor’s success is built on the strength of their team.” Smiling, she said, “Every day feels like a ‘Judy Hopps’ moment for me — I’m always excited about my work. Even coming here today made me super thrilled!”

Zootopia 2 Release Date

Directed by Jared Bush and Bryan Howard, Zootopia 2 promises to bring back laughter, adventure, and heartfelt storytelling. Disney’s much-awaited animated film will hit theaters worldwide on November 28, 2025. In India, it will be released in Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu.
