Kay Kay Menon Said,

Kay Kay Menon, who reprises the role of Himmat Singh in Special Ops 2, said, “Himmat Singh has always fought with courage, intelligence, and experience. But this time, the enemy is invisible — the threats are bigger and unknown, making this season not just relevant but also a very personal journey for me. Himmat carries the burden of responsibility, sacrifice, and many untold emotions. This time, I didn’t just get to play a strategist, but also the man behind the mission — a father, a patriot, and a true protector.”

He added, “When we started this journey, we had no idea it would go this far. But when the first season came out and the audience showered it with love, we realized it had long-term potential. Then came ‘1.5’, which explored my character’s backstory, and I poured everything into that. I had no idea what was coming next and never asked the director either, because sometimes understanding and performing simultaneously becomes challenging. I am always amazed at the final product — it turns out to be something far bigger.

We come from a time when films would release in cinemas for specific crowds, and there was no OTT world like today. Now, platforms like these give us new opportunities to fully explore our craft. We don’t know how real undercover agents work — we neither see nor recognize them — but they do astonishing things for the country, beyond our imagination.”

At JioHotstar, our focus remains on storytelling that not only connects with audiences but also reflects the realities of today’s world.”

Producer Neeraj Pandey

Acclaimed filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, known for films like Baby, Rustom, and Naam Shabana, said, “This season depicts the reality of our times, where the enemy strikes without warning. The new-age battlefield has changed our understanding of threat, security, and sacrifice. Special Ops 2 is the story of an invisible war — one that remains unseen until it disrupts our lives. It reminds us that in today’s world, the biggest battles are fought without a single bullet being fired — but their impact is just as deep and destructive.”

Director Shivam Nair Said,

Series director Shivam Nair said, “With Special Ops 2.0, we’ve elevated our storytelling on every level — whether it’s scale, narrative style, or intensity. This season takes us into a world where intelligence operations directly confront AI, digital warfare, and rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscapes. It’s not just thrilling but also highly relevant.

Working again with Neeraj Pandey has been creatively fulfilling, and we’ve crafted something that’s both cinematic and essential. We’re excited to partner with JioHotstar once more to bring this to audiences.”

Vinay Pathak Said,

Actor Vinay Pathak, who plays Abbas Sheikh in the series, said, “In Special Ops 2, danger doesn’t explode onto the scene — it silently creeps into daily life. That’s what makes this season so impactful. It shows how vulnerable we are in a hyper-connected digital age. Reprising Abbas felt like coming home, but the stakes are much higher now. Balancing his wit and charm with the seriousness of the threat made the journey even more memorable.”

Karan Tacker Said,

Karan Tacker, who plays Farooq Ali in the series, said, “Farooq has matured, and so has his mission. This season pushes us to think beyond guns and disguises. The real tension lies in not knowing where the next attack will come from — because the enemy is invisible. I feel proud to return to this show and thank Neeraj Pandey and JioHotstar for fearlessly pushing Indian stories to new boundaries.”

Tahir Raj Bhasin Said,

Special Ops 2 Trailer Launch: Tahir Raj Bhasin

Actor Tahir Raj Bhasin, known for Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein, said, “Joining the world of Special Ops has been a thrilling experience. This role challenged me both mentally and physically, and I’m grateful to Neeraj Pandey and JioHotstar for their trust.

Playing this antagonist is special because he’s grounded in today’s reality. He doesn’t use guns — he uses code, data, and blind trust — that’s what makes him truly dangerous. He isn’t fictional; he exists among us in today’s world.”

Saiyami Kher Said,

At the trailer launch of Special Ops 2, Saiyami Kher made a bold statement that left everyone surprised. Her fierce expression of female rage and emotion was powerful and moving. She said: “Thank you, Neeraj Sir, because as an actor you want to play all kinds of roles — grey, black, white, orange — you just want to keep working. But there are specific roles for women that people don’t even write. You keep wondering, why not? Even before Special Ops, I feel what Neeraj Sir did with Taapsee in Baby was extraordinary. As an audience member, I saw that and thought — wow! I had never seen anything like that in Indian cinema.”

She continued, “He has always done that, and I feel very lucky to have played Juhi. I loved doing action in the first season — especially beating up the boys. I remember hitting someone with a stick, and I thought, I wish I could do that in real life! I can’t stop my hands, because that’s the real emotion that comes from within a woman. When you see people harassing or catcalling on the streets, women feel like — just give me a stick or a gun, and I’ll show them how it’s done! Neeraj Sir gave me that opportunity, and I’m truly grateful. I hope I get to keep beating up bad guys in the future too.” Her bold words earned loud applause at the event.
