SRK to Make a Cameo in Ranbir-Alia-Vicky's 'Love and War'

The much-awaited film Love and War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, is set to be a grand cinematic experience. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film will feature a gripping love triangle, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release. The film’s shooting has already begun, and it is now confirmed that King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, will make a special cameo in this high-profile project.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Cameo: A Meeting with Bhansali

Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shah Rukh Khan recently had a meeting regarding SRK’s cameo in Love and War. If everything goes according to plan, Shah Rukh will shoot his part in January 2025, with the film scheduled for release in March 2026.

SRK’s Past Cameos

This isn’t the first time Shah Rukh Khan will make a cameo in a film starring Ranbir Kapoor. He previously appeared in a memorable cameo in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), where he played the character of Tahir. Shah Rukh also had a brief but impactful role in Brahmastra (2022), portraying Mohan Bhargav. Additionally, his voice will be featured in the upcoming animated film Mufasa, set to release soon.

In Love and War, Shah Rukh Khan’s entry will occur during an intense scene with Ranbir Kapoor’s character. The moment promises to be deep and emotional, as Shah Rukh’s character imparts some crucial life lessons to Ranbir's character. This cameo is expected to be a pivotal moment in the film, adding both emotional weight and depth to the storyline.

A Long-Awaited Collaboration

What’s truly exciting is that this will be the first time in 22 years that Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shah Rukh Khan are collaborating again. The last time they worked together was on the iconic film Devdas (2002), where Shah Rukh starred opposite Aishwarya Rai, with Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff also playing key roles.

Bhansali’s Past Collaborations with Ranbir and Alia

Before Love and War, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had worked with both Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt on different projects. He directed Ranbir in Saawariya (2007), and Alia in Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022). Love and War will mark Bhansali’s first collaboration with Vicky Kaushal.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Upcoming Projects

Looking ahead, Shah Rukh Khan has several exciting projects lined up. He will start shooting for Pathaan 2 in mid-2025. Additionally, he will star alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan, in King, a film set to release in 2026. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, King will also feature Abhishek Bachchan as the antagonist.
