Abhishek and Bhumi hosted the inaugural event of IFFI in Goa with great enthusiasm. This program lasted for more than three hours. The 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) began on Wednesday in Goa, which is hosting the festival from November 20 to 28. Most of the program was hosted by actor Abhishek Banerjee and actress Bhumi Pednekar, in Hindi language. The show's performances focused mostly on Bollywood dance and music to some extent, fronted by the world's leading artists. Although Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Ashwini Vaishnav, and Minister of State for I&B L Murugan, were not present at the event, they addressed the audience of the event through video messages. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, in his few-minute inaugural speech, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously upgrading the infrastructure to make IFFI bigger.
And Bhumi Pednekar, Jaideep Ahlawat, Sunny Kaushal, Ishaan Khattar, Sanya Malhotra Manushi Chillar walked on the red carpet of the inauguration ceremony, also many more celebrities were present.
Madhur Bhandarkar, Boman Irani, Neetu Chandra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Mukesh Chhabra, Vaani Tripathi, Neetu Chandrabhoomi, also attended the 55th International Film Festival of India.
Celebrating India's cinematic heritage, the event also saw notable personalities like 'Stree' actor Abhishek Banerjee, Rajkummar Rao and director Amar Kaushik click selfies and interact with each other.
The festival opened with a screening of "Better Man" directed by Michael Gracey and described Australia as the 'country of focus'. The highlight of this year's festival was the inclusion of Indian Sign Language interpretation, enhancing accessibility for the hearing impaired audience. The event featured cultural performances as well as tributes to Indian cinema legends like Mohammed Rafi, Raj Kapoor, making it a memorable event for the attendees.

Which included Abhishek Banerjee and Bhumi Pednekar (host), Rajkumar Rao, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Boman Irani, Jaideep Ahlawat, Randeep Hooda, Amar Kaushik (director), Subhash Ghai (filmmaker)-Nithya Menen (actress), Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (spiritual leader), Shekhar Kapur and many other renowned personalities.
The event celebrated Indian cinema and included various cultural performances.
