In addition to Amitabh Bachchan, Sudesh has showcased his mimicry skills with legends like Ashok Kumar, Vinod Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and Mithun Chakraborty. After the passing of Sanjeev Kumar, Sudesh completed the dubbing for his film Professor Ki Padosan. He received his first break as a playback singer in 1988 with the film Jaljala.

In an interview, Sudesh once stated, “I am a mimicry artist. Singing in anyone’s voice doesn’t feel difficult for me.” He recounted performing the song “Imli Ka Boota” for the film Saudagar, where his portion was filmed on Rajkumar. His ability to mimic voices has allowed him to create a seamless experience, making it seem as though the original actors are singing.

Now, composers often don’t even attend recording sessions. Everything has become mechanical; the soul of music has faded away.”
