What Suniel Shetty Said About the Indo-Pak Match

On Friday, Suniel Shetty attended the book launch event of ‘Black Scorpion: To Hell And Back’ in Mumbai. While interacting with the media and photographers present at the venue, he shared his thoughts on the India–Pakistan match. Suniel compared the rivalry between India and Pakistan to the iconic Ashes series played between Australia and England. He said, “I want Pakistan to come to Sri Lanka and play against India. What is achieved by not playing? There is a very beautiful rivalry between the Indian and Pakistani teams, just like the Ashes rivalry between Australia and England.”

Best Wishes for Team India

Extending his best wishes to the Indian cricket team, Suniel Shetty said, “My only wish is that Team India continues to play the way they have been playing. If they play like that, they will definitely win.”

Suniel Shetty’s statement clearly shows that he believes in the true spirit of sports and wants both teams to face each other on the field. According to him, sports should always be viewed with a sporting spirit, and boycotting matches does not solve any problem.

It may be noted that on February 1, the Government of Pakistan announced the boycott of the match against India. The announcement was made through a post on the social media platform X. Pakistan stated that the decision was taken in support of Bangladesh, after the ICC removed Bangladesh from the tournament.
