Taapsee Speaks Out

In a recent interview, Taapsee Pannu spoke at length about how the PR game has changed over the years. She said, “I was extremely busy with work earlier, but over the last 1.5 to 2 years, I’ve consciously slowed things down. I realized that this PR game has gone to a completely different level.”

She further added, “Earlier, PR was about paying to push yourself forward. Now, people are also paying to pull someone else down. Since when did your success start depending on someone else’s failure? People are creating a whole new personality just to stay relevant. I’m not satisfied with just being part of a hit film—I want to have a strong voice too, even if that voice doesn’t always match yours.”

‘Your Voice Must Match Your Work’

Taapsee also emphasized the importance of authenticity, stating, “You need to build a voice, and the voice you’re trying to create beyond films should align with your work. You’re saying one thing beyond cinema, but your work says something else. Instead of spending money to bring others down, invest in yourself and the people close to you.” (Taapsee Pannu bold statement on film industry)
