Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Team Celebrates a Grand Diwali

Television’s most popular comedy show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, once again made headlines for its festive Diwali celebrations. The entire Gokuldham Society team celebrated on set and prepared a special Diwali episode for viewers. From the show’s producer, Asit Kumar Modi, to Popatlal (Shyam Pathak) and Ayyer, Babita ji’s on-screen neighbor, every cast member shared their Diwali happiness. On this occasion, the artists not only shared fun behind-the-scenes moments but also conveyed a message of laughter and positivity to their fans.

Show producer Asit Kumar Modi said, "Every year, after celebrating Diwali at home, we celebrate it again in Gokuldham so that the audience can enjoy the festival twice." He further added that this year's Diwali episode was based on Motichoor Laddus and Diwali gifts. Popat Lal was seen having some special fun this time. When Asit Modi was asked if Popat Lal would ever get married, he smiled and said, "He will! He will definitely get married! Popat Lal will get married only after Daya Bhabhi returns." He jokingly added, "I pray to God every day – O God, have mercy on me and send Daya Bhabhi back!"

Shyam Pathak said 

Shyam Pathak, who plays journalist Popat Lal, said, "Asit Bhai has already said that Popat Lal will definitely get married. I just say that any girl will do, but it should be a girl!" He said about his dream wife, "The girl should have the unique qualities of all our Gokuldham sisters-in-law—someone who can blend like sugar in milk and add color to Popat Lal's colorless life." He said, "The show has taught me that every problem can be solved with a smile." He added, "I meet many people who say that this show helped them overcome depression and kept them alive during COVID. Surprise from Tappu Sena

Shyam Pathak also revealed that this time Tappu Sena had a special surprise in store for the Diwali episode. "We didn't even know what the surprise was; everyone found out only after the shoot!" Remembering Daya Bhabhi, he said, "I miss her a lot, especially during festivals. She was like an elder sister and she tried very hard to get me married." Tanuj Mahashabde said, "Since 2008, every festival has been celebrated on the set—be it Holi, Diwali, or Ganpati. Diwali on the set brings a different flavor." Sonalika Joshi and Khushi Mali said

The actress, who plays Sonu on the show, said, "My Baba even got the walls of the house painted for me, just to make me happy. I am his darling." She added, "Diwali should be celebrated with family. He also shared a memorable experience from shooting with Amitabh Bachchan, "When he came on set (for Bhootnath promotions), it was like a dream for me – speaking dialogues with him, rehearsing, everything was incredible." Sonu told his fans, "Light diyas, talk good things, make others laugh and stay positive. That's the real Diwali."
