Rajani 2.0: Doordarshan to Revive Indian TV’s Golden Era from November 3

On the birth anniversary of the late Priya Tendulkar, her husband, actor-filmmaker Karan Razdan, made a heartfelt announcement that has filled fans of the legendary 1980s television show “Rajani” with nostalgia and excitement. The much-talked-about sequel that had been in the works for years is finally ready to make its grand return.

Rajani 2.0’ to Air on Doordarshan from November 3

Karan zRadan officially revealed that ‘Rajani 2.0’, the second chapter of the beloved classic, will air on Doordarshan starting November 3, every Monday to Friday from 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

In the original series, the late Priya Tendulkar immortalized the character of Rajani — a fearless and outspoken woman who stood firmly against social injustice and corruption. Now, in ‘Rajani 2.0’, the story continues through her daughter Guddu, who has grown up to be just like her mother — bold, honest, and determined to make a difference. Viewers lovingly call her ‘Rajani 2.0’.

Speaking about the revival, Karan Razdan said, “No one can ever truly play Rajani again, but her soul and her spirit live on through her daughter. I am confident that audiences will shower the same love and respect on Rajani’s daughter that they once gave to Priya ji’s Rajani.”

Adding to the excitement, ‘Rajani 2.0’ will also stream on the Waves digital platform from November 10, allowing viewers across the world to watch the show online.
