I went to the market to celebrate Holi... leaving aside 'Gadar', 'Jawan', and 'Animal', I saw Modi's name being used everywhere!!

Be it the Lathmaar Holi of Barsana or the chorus of 'Chharar... Holi Hai' of Purvanchal! The festival of Holi is in full swing in the country. The festival of Eid is also ahead. The bells of the arrival of Lok Sabha elections, the biggest festival of democracy, have come - due to which the hustle and bustle of the markets has increased a lot. The sale of colorful water bottles, abeer, gulal, caps, kurta, sandalwood, khoya, and material for making malpuwa has increased in the market. The thing that is attracting the most attention in the shops of retailers is the sale of festive items with Prime Minister Modi imprint in their name.

Holi Market Buzz: Modi Pichkari and Masks Lead Sales

Modi imprint Pichkari and Modi mask have the highest sales in the market. Referring to the Holi market sales in the crowded market of Ganesh Nagar, Malad West in Mumbai, a trader said - "Whenever a film is a hit, items bearing the imprint of that hit film - toys, etc. come in the market for sale. In this regard, even on this Holi, things bearing the imprints of Bollywood films have come up for sale. Pichkari, caps, etc. bearing the imprints of the films 'Baahubali', 'Gadar', 'Jawan', and 'Animal' have come. But this time the imprints of those films are available. It is not being sold, Modi is being sold!” Modi Pichkari is being sold for Rs 50 to 100. Modi's Gujarati cap is priced at Rs 50 while the price of Modi's Mask goes up to Rs 200.

Modi Holi Merchandise Dominates Market Sales Across India

Not only in Mumbai, have traders from many cities of the country selling Holi items said the same. This time the sale of Modi-printed Pichkari, cap, kurta, T-shirt, and masks is the highest. People are not buying things with stars' faces or their film's logo imprinted on them, but the demand is for Modi imprint. Children and youth are all demanding the same. A journalist friend from Varanasi said, "Here in the markets, the demand for water bottles and masks printed with Modi (Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh) is so high that the shopkeepers are not able to provide them. That is, this is the first time that hit films of stars are being sold on any festival." The printed material is not being sold and the things related to Modi Yogi's double-engine government are falling short. There is Modi's picture on the Holi kurta, Holi cap is Modi's cap. There is Modi on the packets of fragrant abeer, gulal, and hawan material. There is a code of conduct on the election campaign material. There is a limit on the use of posters, banners, etc. However, Holi publicity can be done through Pichkari, masks, kurtas, T-shirts, and other things in the market. Perhaps the Election Commission would not have thought this far!

Bhojpuri Holi Songs Pay Homage to Modi and Yogi

This is the condition of the songs played in the audio-video market. Most of the Holi songs composed in the Bhojpuri language are on the YouTube channels of singers. BJP's Bhojpuri MPs have also praised Modi and Yogi in Holi songs. Nirahua has many Birha songs on Holi. Ravi Kishan has given the audio of the slogan 'Har Har Mahadev' while Manoj Tiwari has sung Devi Bhajan in the Holi song for the Bihari voters of Delhi.

That is, in this era of marketism, the discussion of Modiism is at its peak. Prabhas of 'Bahubali', Sunny Deol of 'Gadar', Shahrukh Khan of 'Jawaan' and Ranbir Kapoor of 'Animal' have been left behind in the Holi market and Modi's mask has become heavy on them all!
