Unveiling Dowry's Evils: 'Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai' on Sony TV

The wall of society's customs stands between two families, two people, and their love. The story of Naren and Nandini is Sony TV's show 'Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai'. Zaan Khan and Meera Deosthale are seen in lead roles in the show. Jagat Rawat and Sejal Shah are seen as the maternal uncle and aunt of Meera's character Nandini in the show.

What would you like to say about the show and the concept of the show?

Jagat- Such issues should be discussed, this is a big problem in society. These things hollow the society from within and spoil relationships. In our show ‘Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai’ we talk about all these things. We hope that there will be an impact on people's lives and that people will watch the show, like it, and also change themselves.

Sejal- I agree with what Jagat ji said. It is very important to have social awareness. Nowadays there are many mediums, otherwise, earlier there was not so much media awareness. Now everything has become digital, and after Covid, people have become even more aware. People know that this thing is not right but to what extent it is not right, this show shows that thing. I want people to watch this show and bring changes in some circumstances of their lives.

Tell us something about your character.

Jagat- I am playing the role of an uncle in this show, an uncle who is like a father, in my opinion, he is even greater than a father. He is the power behind the heroine Nandini of this serial, he teaches her to be a good citizen who walks with her head held high and who attacks evil in the society.

Sejal- I am playing the role of aunt. Nandini was brought up by her maternal uncle and aunt since childhood. Uncle, who is a teacher, has taught Nandini a lot through his principles. Mami's character is such that she believes that if one wants to live in the society then certain customs and traditions should be followed. Can't live like this in society. He believes that education is not everything. Aunty opposes that the flag should not be uprooted everywhere, things should continue as they are in the society. This character is not negative, this character is positive and very emotional, very sharp from the outside but soft from the inside.

When Nandini gets married in the show, you also give a dowry, so what is the reason behind that?

Jagat- This show is about the evil of dowry but there are some situations in which we have to give dowry.

Sejal- Aunty just wants that if Nandini loves Naren then she should get the marriage done by doing a little bit here and there. Aunty doesn't know anything about dowry, she just wants Nandini to be happy.

What would you like to say to your fans?

Sejal- Our show ‘Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai’ is coming on Sony Entertainment Television from Monday to Friday, so please watch it, you will not be disappointed at all. Even though the topic is of dowry on which many serials have appeared, there will be some spice in it.
