Triptii Dimri with her classic performance in 'Dhadak-2' trailer emerges again as 'national heart-throb', would love to act in bio-pics of Meena Kumari Or Madhubala ! by Chaitanya Padukone

So heartening to observe that success and super-stardom has not affected 'national crush' Tripti Dimri ( of mega-hits 'Animal', 'Bad Newws' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa-3' fame) who still continues to be unassuming, bubbly and media-friendly. 

Both Triptii Dimri and her hero Siddhant Chaturvedi shared their thoughts on their upcoming release of the viral-trailer of  Dhadak 2, a spiritual sequel of 2018 release Dhadak ( a Karan Johar-Dharma co-production with Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures) ) at a recent news-media interaction  The original 2018 release Dhadak starred Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. 

While accepting loads of compliments for her spontaneous screen-chemistry in Dhadak-2 trailer with romantic co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi, 'national heart-throb' actress  Triptii Dimri was modest enough to share the credit with talented director Shazia Iqbal. " It was director Shazia ma'am who made Siddhant and me play games and keep exchanging experiences of our life's journey. That helped a lot for us to get to know each other much better. That's how we had a mutual-comfort zone while shooting romantic or intense-dramatic scenes. Of course, both Siddhant and I have also put in our best with improvisations, whenever required, because Shazia-maa'am was very supportive. The melodious songs of 'Dhadak 2', when released shortly,  will be among the major highlights of the movie," assures Tripti who says she loves "traveling to exotic cities and dream destinations like in country France".  

Triptii Dimri, who prefers to be a versatile star-actress and not be typecast, shares her career options. “Given a chance, I would love to re-invent myself and accept leading intense action or more roles with negative-grey shades. Being a huge ardent fan of Meena Kumari-ji and Madhubala-ji, if someone makes a biopic on either of them, I would love to be a part of it. They were timeless legends—and portraying them would be such an honor for me," smiles Triptii. Who does not take extra pressure while shooting? "As long as we put in absolute honesty in our work and full trust in our director, the cinematic-magic always happens in the final shots-takes," shares Tripti.

Incidentally, Dhadak-2 is a Hindi zone remake of the superhit Tamil 2012 movie Pariyerum Perumal ( it means "King who mounts a horse' ) !
Triptii Dimri's career started with films like Poster Boys, Laila Majnu, Bulbbul and Qala. Although Triptii was praised much for her performance in Laila Majnu, but it was in Netflix movies Bulbbul (2020) and Qala (2022), where she gained initial popular recognition. Then came mega-hit 2023 release, 'Animal', where Ranbir Kapoor was her romantic co-star along with  Rashmika Mandana! 

Following this she has been doing commercial superhit films like Bad Newz, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Bhool Bhulaiya 3 and now Dhadak 2. She will also be seen in Arjun Ustara. Tripti is also part of the lead cast ( opposite Prabhas ) of Sandeep Vanga's upcoming bold thriller movie  'Spirit'   
Triptii Dimri says, “I think it was when Bulbbul released during corona lock-down. Before that, I had done Laila Majnu, but it didn’t get much recognition. People didn’t talk much about it, which was a bit disappointing because as an actor, I had put in a lot of effort."

Speaking about social and family conflicts due  to inter-caste marriages which is the sensitive emotional subject of  social-conflict thriller Dhadak-2, Triptii  shares her honest views.. She says that she has in real-life witnessed many cases where the family has socially boycotted their happily-married children, only due to inter-caste spouses.  But what is  really sad that even in today's modern times people sometimes tend to go to very extreme levels with mindless tragic consequences," says Triptii who is looking forward to the release of her much-awaited 'Dhadak-2' entertainer movie on Friday, August 1st, 2025.
