On the occasion of the film completing six years, Yami Gautam took to social media to express her happiness. In her emotional post, she talked about her role and the film’s significance. Yami wrote, “Uri: The Surgical Strike celebrated much more than just cinema—it celebrated the valor of the Indian Army, the spirit of our nation, and the power of cinema itself. Being part of a film that still resonates with people’s hearts today is a matter of great pride for me. Playing the role of Pallavi Sharma was a dream, and getting the opportunity to portray another strong female character was truly special. Thank you to all of you for your love, and to the entire team that made this film so memorable.”
The Roles She Played
In Uri: The Surgical Strike, Yami Gautam played two pivotal roles. She portrayed Pallavi Sharma, a nurse who takes care of Major Vihan Singh Shergill’s (played by Vicky Kaushal) mother. However, it is later revealed that she is actually Jasmine Almeida, a sharp and dedicated intelligence officer. Personal Life
On the personal front, Yami Gautam married Uri director Aditya Dhar in 2021. The couple now has a son, named Vedaavid. Currently, Yami is taking a short break from films to focus on her family.
