Bollywood's rising actress Veronica Vanij is considered to be one of the bold and talented young actresses in the Indian entertainment industry and needless to say, she is making waves in the Indian entertainment sector how? Over the years, the actress has focused on building credibility for herself professionally, and no wonder she gives perfect performances to every director and producer she works with. Apart from her work on screen, Veronica is also appreciated for her ability to speak boldly and talk about relevant issues. Be it a conversation on women empowerment or gender bias and any other controversial topics, Veronica has always spoken with utmost grace and humility, and no wonder, everyone has agreed with her beliefs and viewpoint. She doesn't shy away from talking about relevant issues and that's why, at a recent event, when she was asked about the state of women empowerment in Bollywood and what exactly is the way forward, she had this to say: she expressed her feelings on the matter. Here is what the actress said when asked about the same. Veronica on Women Empowerment: Focus on True Intentions Veronica said, "Thanks to those visionary directors and those really strong and powerful women, the awareness of women empowerment and 'woman power' is much higher than before, with that being said, I really feel that sometimes, more than pursuing the real essence of women empowerment, some people use it as a narrative to commercialize this whole thing. I think this is not right. What I mean to say is that we should have subjects and films that empower women because they are important to society, and not just because it is a trending topic and hence it may be commercially feasible. If a film is made with good intentions, the commercial part will automatically be taken care of. Having said that, we have actually come a long way from where we were 10-20 years ago. From fair wages for women to giving them equal respect as their male counterparts, we are slowly and steadily getting closer to that particular level but mind it, there is still a lot of work to be done. I think the biggest challenge for me is to focus on the right intention and keep the business aspect out of it. If we do this, we will make the entertainment industry an even better place for women to work and thrive. I'm waiting for that day."
