The summit will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who envisions transforming India into a global leader in the media, entertainment, and technology sectors. In his address, PM Modi emphasized the importance of creative industries in shaping India's future and urged young creators to actively participate in this transformative journey.

Global Participation and Objectives

WAVES 2025 is expected to attract over 130 countries, featuring industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders from various creative sectors. The summit's primary goal is to foster innovation, collaboration, and dialogue in animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, and extended reality (AVGC-XR), thereby establishing India as a global center for these industries.

One of the summit's key initiatives is the 'Create in India Challenge,' which aims to discover and showcase 31 emerging talents in music, fashion, gaming, and digital content. This platform will provide these creators with the opportunity to present their work on an international stage, promoting India's rich cultural diversity and creative prowess.

Celebrating Indian Cinema

The summit will also feature a series of performances and discussions celebrating Indian cinema. Renowned artists such as Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, and MM Keeravani will perform, showcasing the linguistic and cultural diversity of India's music industry. Actor Sharad Kelkar will host the event, and veteran actor Anupam Kher will present a special segment on the evolution of Indian cinema.

WAVES 2025 will be graced by prominent figures from the Indian film industry, including Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Shah Rukh Khan, A.R. Rahman, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, and Anil Kapoor. These luminaries will engage in discussions and sessions focused on the future of entertainment and creative technology.

The summit will receive extensive media coverage, including from the MayaPuri Group and the popular children's magazine Lotpot. Their involvement underscores the significance of WAVES 2025 in promoting India's creative industries to a global audience.

WAVES 2025 represents a significant step towards realizing India's vision of becoming a global leader in the creative economy. By bringing together diverse talents and fostering collaboration, the summit aims to showcase India's cultural richness and innovative spirit on the world stage.
