Aishwarya's first film with Shankar was 'Jins' in 1998 - which brought her into the limelight in the world of big screen. This was the film which drew everyone's attention towards her after the title of Miss World, although this film of hers was being made in a South Indian language. Ash says that she has learnt the right techniques of cinema from Shankar Sir. Ash's second film with director Shankar was 'Robot' (2010) but this film made Aishwarya popular all over India. She says - 'Sir's 'Indian 2' is a film for today's Indians. Manisha Koirala Manisha Koirala was the heroine of the first version of director S Shankar's film 'Indian'. Shankar and Manisha had worked together again in the South film 'Madhavalan' which was a political film. Manisha Koirala says that she had got an offer to work in 'Indian 2' but she was not well at that time. 'Indian 2' was one of the many projects she lost due to her illness (battle with cancer). Manisha Koirala considers Shankar a great director. Urmila Matondkar "There are very few directors of director S Shankar's label in our film industry." This is the belief of Urmila Matondkar. In the first version of 'Hindustani 2' or 'Indian 2', 'Indian' (1996), Urmila played the character of Sapna who was noticed parallel to Senapati. Urmila says- "People may not understand the film or whatever, I have not seen it yet. But if Shankar sir is there then it will definitely be the film to watch today. He is a storehouse of ideas and a technician capable of bringing out the inner voice of the artist. Kiara Advani: Before starting her career in Bollywood, today's shining star Kiara Advani also started from the South film industry like many other heroines. Then director S Shankar gave her a chance with Ram Charan in his film "Game Changer". Kiara believes that she got guidance from Shankar sir in her initial days of films, which is helping her till date. Kiara considers 'Indian 2' a good film and a well-made film. She also praises Rakulpreet Singh's work in the film. She says - "Shankar sir is brilliant.
