‘Will  do my best to live beyond high expectations of my fans’, assures hit-heroine Kiara Advani who completes 10 years in Bollywood by Chaitanya Padukone

Charming, chulbuli yet brilliant actress-dancer Kiara Advani who made her debut in movie ‘Fugly’ which released on June 13th 2014 completes Ten Years as an actress !!. Currently versatile style-icon Kiara who made an impressive impact at the recent Cannes Foreign Film Festival and even mingled with Hollywood veteran mega-star Richard Gere seems super-excited. That’s because she is signed for YRF sequel movie War-2 opposite co-stars Hrithik Roshan and Jr.NTR, being directed by Ayan Mukerji, to be released next year in August.

The charismatic Kiara whose last movie ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ was a commercial hit has 'not' let the box-office super-success go to her head, In the recent past, her mega-hit horror-comedy movie ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa-2’ ( BB) was a blockbuster. The level-headed Kiara who had also impressed in yet another hit ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ and of course in ‘Kabir Singh’ continues to be modest and grounded.

Happily married last year (Feb 7th, 2023) to her war movie ‘Shershaah’ (2021) handsome co-star Sidharth Malhotra, her fans are eagerly waiting for both of them to be romantically paired once again on-screen

Speaking to me in the past, Kiara said, “ What has made me super-delighted is that  ‘BB-2 has not been compared with the prequel ‘BB’ but has been highly appreciated on its stand-alone merit. With my previous hit-list track-record of  ‘Kabir Singh’, ‘Good Newwz’, and more recently ‘Shershaah’ and now ‘BB-2’, audiences and my die-had fans have huge expectations from me. Let me assure that I will continue to do my best to live beyond the high expectations of my ardent fans. Success should not make you complacent. Neither should it make you over-confident,” says the articulate Kiara ( real name Aalia Advani).

It may be recalled here that Kiara’s (guest appearance) lively song in movie Kalank ( 2019 )with Varun Dhawan which goes  ‘ Baaki Sab First Class Hai’ was immensely popular with her fans. Kiara also won appreciation for her comic romantic role in ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ (2022) opposite hero Vicky Kaushal.  

 What was so extra-special about her character ‘Naina’ in ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’  directed by talented Raj Mehta ( of ‘Good Newwz’ movie)  and produced by mentor-showman Karan Johar who considers Kiara a ‘lucky-mascot’?   “ It’s an exuberant identifiable smart character ( ‘Naina’) and so much similar to my real-life personality. Although she is fun-loving and a die-hard romantic, she is very clear about her personal life and career priorities and there are many layers to her character,” reveals charismatic Kiara who considers sharing screen-space with co-star Neetu Singh a “great honour”.

With her friendly nature, Neetu Kapoor ( she plays her mother-in-law) shared warm vibes with Kiara on the sets of ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’.  Shares Kiara,” Neetu-ma’am never made us feel that she is an iconic actress-heroine of yesteryears. She had that maternal instinct-sentiments towards both Varun and me and she was so caring and grounded with her friendly banter.   There was that one intense scene between Neetu-jee and me. I remember both of us had tears in our eyes. It was such an organic natural scene,” insists Kiara who feels that her senior ‘Jug Jugg…’ co-star ‘perfectionist-actor’’ Anil Kapoor’s enthusiasm and energy is awe-inspiring and exemplary.
