Birthday: Amrita Rao Lost Major Film Due to Manager's Betrayal

 When Amrita Rao, the actress who made a name for herself in every household with the Bollywood film 'Vivah', launched her book 'Couple Of Things'. Amrita has shared many stories related to her personal and professional life in this. In this book, Amrita has shared an anecdote from Salman Khan's film 'Wanted'. In this anecdote, she mentioned that she was approached for Salman Khan's film 'Wanted' but her manager did not tell her about this. After which Amrita was completely shattered.

 Amrita was approached for the film 'Wanted'

Let us tell you that Amrita Rao (Vivah Actress Amrita Rao) was first approached instead of Ayesha Takia for the film 'Wanted'. In her book Couple of Things, Amrita Rao recalled that only a few months ago she realized that she was approached for Salman Khan's film Wanted. "A few months later, I was shooting for a Telugu film with South superstar Mahesh Babu in Hyderabad. One evening, while returning from shooting in the lobby of my hotel Taj Banjara, I met a production man who had worked closely with Mr. Boney Kapoor. He asked me "Oh, hi Amrita! How are you? If our dates had not clashed, you would have been shooting Wanted with Salman Khan for us". Hearing this, Amrita starts looking at the person in surprise. 

Amrita Rao was cheated by her manager

Surprised by all this, Amrita was asked when I was approached for Wanted. To this, the production person said - "Oh of course you were approached. I called your manager and he said that it is impossible to match your dates". Amrita further said in her book, "My heart was broken and I was completely shattered. I was never told about such a big offer by them, if I had known, I would have definitely fixed dates for you. The manager cheated me which broke my heart. Let us tell you that 'Wanted' directed by Prabhu Deva was a Hindi remake of Puri Jagannadh's 2006 Telugu film 'Pokiri'. It starred Ayesha Takia opposite Salman Khan and also starred Vinod Khanna, Prakash Raj, Indra Kumar, and Mahesh Manjrekar. The film emerged as a box office hit, becoming one of the highest-collection films of 2009.

After making her Bollywood debut with 'Ab Ke Baras' in 2002, Amrita has worked in films such as 'Ishq Vishq', 'Main Hoon Na' and 'Vivaah'. She starred in the biographical film 'Thackeray' starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray.
