It was at India Week Film Enclave, Where saw Vaibhav Anand, He looks exactly like DEV ANAND. But what went wrong with his work in Bollywood? Let's check

Genius Vijay Anand's son Vaibhav Anand says, I live in Mumbai and London and have still only Indian number here

Dev Anand@100: 'Deep down, he remained Dharamdev Anand' - Rediff.com

Vaibhav Expresses his feelings on Working in the West. Vaibhav Anand says, "I live in Mumbai India, and London, but love the standards here as per Casting is approached"

In Mumbai,  Casting works on relations where as In England Casting works on Merit.
You walk for an audition,  no matter who you are, or a complete outsider - Take your script, perform dialogue. If you performed well then the Role is yours, Vaibhav Anand continues.

But in Mumbai,  if you are an outsider,  firstly you will not allowed to say, " Oh sorry, it's only for selected once....😂

Very First thing In Mumbai, Directors call you on seeing your profile " Who s Who" and not the Content, That's the biggest reason Bollywood is lacking "Content"

There "Nepotism" factor in killing "Merit" performance.  First priority should CONTENT rather than Stars, only then we can deliver Good Cinema and Music

Well, I agree completely on This, Priyanka Raina says. Content should be given first priority in Bollywood.  Like tell me your favourite song in 2024, you will be thinking.
But if I say, tell any song of 90s, you will say in millions now.

The system needs to be changed in Indian Cinema,  Strongly agree. Writers should be given first priority on "Merit"

Tell us what your feelings are on this?

The last few days I have been flooded with rumors ( such stories cannot be the truth ) about some intelligent and so-called wise people trying to make a remake of Dev Anand and Genius Vijay Anand's classic made in 1965. I was confused about whether to laugh at their idea, scoff at it, or worry about it ....

How can anyone in their right senses ever think that they could even dare to dream about making "Guide" again?

Can they have a novel written by an author like R K Narayan, the brother of the famous cartoonist R K Laxman who could capture the atmosphere of a time when the story of "Guide" could happen?

Guide Remake Plans Strong Words Against the Idea

How could they find a producer like Dev Anand who had an image of a hero break his own charming and dashing image to play the role of a cheat, a gambler, a man who could have no qualms about taking away the harassed wife of a rich and old archaeologist and make her a famous dancer and cheats her in the bargain?

Would the producer Dev Anand make the decision to take his younger brother Genius Vijay Anand as his director who would make a film that would be a landmark in the history of Indian films?

How could Dev Anand and Genius Vijay Anand decide to cast Waheeda Rehman in one of the most difficult, dicey roles of her career after" Pyasa", "Teesri  Kasam' and " Dil Diya Dard Liya" among her many other mind-blowing films?

Guide Remake Plans Strong Words Against the Idea

Do the men and women who are supposed to be making" Guide " again know what it is to get the best music and songs created by the magic combination of S D Burman, Shailendra, Kishore Kumar, and Lata Mangeshkar at her very best?

Will any of the best cinematographers of today be able to use the camera as a way of capturing the essence of life, as Gali Mistry did in the great original?

Guide Remake Plans Strong Words Against the Idea

Will any director or writer of today be able to picturise evergreen songs like " Aaj kal jeene ki tamana hai" " Din dhal Jaye par raat na jaye" and " Piya tose naina laagere" a ten minutes classical song and dance picturized on Waheeda Rehman, during the screening of which no one in the audience is said to have even changed sides in their chair?

And can any director today try to shoot the climax of the film?

And finally, can any actor of today find the inspiration, the inclination, and the time to get so involved in the role that he forgets who he is and what his standing and status is as a star?

Guide Remake Plans Strong Words Against the Idea

Why am I asking all these questions when no one or very few are bothered to ask them? It is because I have known of the passion of men like Dev Anand and Genius Vijay Anand who have opened up their hearts to me talking about how and in what circumstances the film was made and the results that showed only because of their total dedication to the making of Guide. The guide was in a guide to read to the making of quality films and certainly not for imitating and remaking them.

NAHI, MERE GYAANI AUR JAANI DOST, AAP SE NAHI HO PAAYEGA. KUCH AUR SOCH KAR BANAAIYE KYOON KI AGAR AAPNE SAAT JANAM BHI LIYE TABHI AAP GUIDE JAISI FILM NAHI BANA PAAOGE
