Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's wedding photos have been doing the rounds on the internet lately. The newlywed couple is receiving immense love from netizens. However, there are some people online who are constantly trolling the actress for her inter-religious marriage. The 37-year-old actress recently gave her first reaction to the trollers through an Instagram comment.

The 'Dabangg' diva commented on a fan post that showed an animated version of their post-wedding celebration photo, the post said, 'Love is the universal religion' to which Sonakshi replied, 'True words! This is breathtaking thank you Sonakshi tied the knot with her longtime beau on Sunday (June 23, 2024) in an intimate wedding ceremony at her Mumbai residence followed by a star-studded reception at a fine dining restaurant in the city

About the newly-wedded Couple

Later, the two took to the popular photo-sharing platform to share pictures from their special day but, Sonakshi and Zaheer turned off the comments from their Instagram posts as they reportedly faced hate for their inter-religious union. It was said that her father Shatrughan Sinha was unhappy that Sonakshi did not tell him about the wedding. All such rumors were dismissed when the veteran actor happily posed for pictures with Zaheer and his family for the wedding festivities.

Sonakshi and Zaheer first worked together in a blockbuster music video in the year 2022 and the couple shared the screen in the comedy-drama Double XL. Sonakshi and Zaheer dated each other for seven years and after the release of this film, they also embraced their relationship publicly and appeared together at public events several times.
