These days when films made keeping Pan India in mind are doing more business in the cities of South India than in the cities of North India, many Bollywood producers are waiting to shift from Bollywood to Tollywood. Karan Johar's name is also being taken as one such producer. It is being said that Karan Johar is preparing to pack up his bags and move to Chennai from Mumbai.
Karan Johar's 'Kill' to be Remade: Chennai Office Expansion
It is reported that Karan will remake his latest film 'Kill' from the Chennai office. Let us tell you that after seeing the result of the two films released recently, Akshay Kumar's 'Sarfira' and Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2', Karan has thought that he should also have a base in the South. The sensation created by the audience for the Bollywood film 'Kill' and the film moving towards becoming a blockbuster is more exciting than the South-based films 'Indian 2' and 'Sarfira'. This film made with less popular actors has not been promoted much on social media but is being promoted more by word-of-mouth publicity. The actors of the film are - Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Tanya Maniktala, Harsh Chhaya, Abhishek Chauhan, etc. The director is Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. The film has been made by Karan Johar along with Guneet Monga, Apoorva Mehta and Achin Jain.
The gross box office collection (10 days) of Karan Johar's film 'Kill' is said to be 18.6 crores in India, while the worldwide gross collection is 34.36 crores. This earning of the film of this setup is raising the eyebrows of big film businessmen. It is said that many South Indian heroes have approached Karan Johar to remake this film in the South. Tollywood actor star Sudheer Babu wants to remake this film in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. After these offers, Karan Johar has decided to go to Chennai to make a base in Tollywood. Karan himself will remake the film in South Indian languages or make fresh films. He will join a big production house there and will work on this and in the future also he will have a permanent base in the South.
Let us tell you that 'Kill' is a content-oriented film. A boy Mathur (Lakshya) is a military commando who loves Tulika (Tanya Maniktala). They go on a train that is hijacked by Funny (Raghav Juyal) and his companions. The film is more violent and gruesome than 'Animal' but there is a feel in this action. Director John Wick has taken the rights to make 'Kill' in Hollywood.
However, 'Mayapuri' has already warned how teasers and trailers on social media are harming films. An example of this is how the Hindi dubbed film 'Udaan' ruined the South film 'Surarai Pottru' even before its remake could be released. Karan Johar is a smart businessman. Whatever he does, he does it after complete planning. Ever since the era of Pan India films have started, be it Mumbai or Chennai! Karan already has a hold on the Hindi audience, now he is preparing to extract money from the pockets of the South audience. And, the preparations for this are being done with 'Kill' entering the South and going to remake it.
