Aashram Season 3 Part 2 Cast Interview: Prakash Jha, Darshan Kumar, Tridha and Aaditi Pohankar Give an Exclusive Interview to Mayapuri

Aashram Season 3 Part 2 Cast Interview: Recently, Mayapuri journalist Shilpa Patil had the chance to meet with the director of Aashram, Prakash Jha, and the star cast, including Darshan Kumar, Tridha Choudhury, and Aaditi Pohankar. During the conversation, Shilpa asked several questions related to the show. Let’s find out what they had to say in this exclusive interview.

Aashram 3 Part 2 is out now, and Amazon has joined the show as well. Very few series receive so much love from the audience. What do you think is the reason behind this?

Darshan Kumar – The biggest reason behind this is Prakash Jha Sir. He would always be the first one to arrive on set and the last one to leave. His energy levels were always high, and he continuously motivated all of us. Today, if Aashram is receiving so much love, it's all thanks to Prakash Sir.
Prakash Jha – Everyone put in a lot of hard work for Aashram, and I just did my part, which I love. We never expected that Aashram would receive so much love, but when we were working on it, our only focus was to create a good show. I believe that when everyone works together harmoniously, that’s when good work is made.
Tridha – I believe a lot of creativity comes out of conflict. It’s not just about playing a role; it’s about how our show gives people an opportunity to learn. I’m grateful to Prakash Sir for giving me this opportunity.

What’s the new journey that Pammi is embarking on in this season?

Aaditi – This time, Pammi is on a completely different journey. What this journey is and how exciting it will be, you’ll have to watch the show to find out. I had a lot of fun doing it, and I’m sure the audience will enjoy watching it as well.

When Pammi and Babita teamed up, their fans absolutely loved it. What do you have to say about that?

Tridha – The special thing about Aashram is that every character is interconnected. If one character falls behind or stops, it affects the other characters in the show. Now that Pammi and Babita have come together, what they are going to do next is a mystery. I won’t reveal anything here – you’ll have to watch the show to find out.

Baba Nirala's character is unique in the OTT world, especially as a negative character. How do you manage to keep such a character so impactful?

Prakash Jha – It’s not me who does it, it’s the story. The real question is, why do people like such characters so much? That’s a topic for research. I believe good stories aren’t created by good deeds alone; they are made by those who fall, who slip, and that’s what makes the story even more thrilling.

Ujagar Singh has been trying since the beginning but hasn’t succeeded. Do you think he will succeed this time?

Darshan – In the past, Ujagar Singh was just following orders from his seniors, but this time, he is trying something different. Whether he will meet Pammi and Babita or not, that’s something you’ll see in Aashram 3 Part 2. Everywhere I go, people ask me if Ujagar Singh will catch Baba this time or not. You’ll find out in the upcoming days.

What do you think is the most special thing about Aashram? Also, there have been talks about a fourth part during the trailer launch. What’s your take on that?

Prakash Jha – My main focus is always to tell my story well. I keep wondering why people love this story so much. I believe any good story is made through challenges, difficulties, and the impossible. And that’s exactly what we have in our story as well.

Mayapuri is celebrating its 50th anniversary. What do you think about that?

Prakash Jha–Mayapuri is completing 50 years, and I must say, I am also celebrating 50 years in this industry. I’ve had a special connection with Mayapuri for many years. I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Mayapuri on completing 50 glorious years.
