His film “Kahan Shuru Kahan Khatam” hits theaters tomorrow, where he stars alongside renowned singer Dhvani Bhanushali. Previously, Ashim showcased his talent in hit films like “Ji Karda” and “Murder Mubarak,” and he also made a mark in the “Taj” web series. Here’s what Ashim had to share with Mayapuri about his upcoming film, his character, and his experiences. How does your character in the film connect to your real life? In the film, I play the character of Krish. He’s mischievous and youthful, believing in living life to the fullest. He spreads love and joy wherever he goes. I like to think of him as how Lord Krishna might be if he were here today—playful yet grounded in faith. In real life, I resonate with that spirit. Comedy can be challenging, especially with timing. How did you manage that? I’ve always wanted to do comedy, but the right role hadn’t come my way until now. Getting this opportunity was exciting for me. I have a penchant for comedy, so when I read the character, I felt it had everything that would make it fun. If I’m not enjoying what I do, I can’t be happy. But with this character, I knew I’d enjoy the process and I hope it brings joy to the audience too. I don’t want to have fun alone! Being from Delhi, what’s your favorite food? I absolutely love home-cooked food! Daal-chawal, kadhi-chawal, rajma-chawal, and chole-bhature are my favorites. My grandmother makes delicious aloo and gobi parathas, served with white butter and homemade mango pickle. Nothing compares to home-cooked meals; I could eat them every day! Your on-screen chemistry looks great. How is it off-screen? (laughs) We can’t even look at each other! Any memorable experiences related to Mayapuri magazine? I remember seeing a photo of Madhuri Dixit in Mayapuri when I was a kid. Just looking at her picture would make me happy. I really admire Madhuri ma'am. Ashim is known for his roles as Neil Gujral in “Gulmohar Grand,” Rehaan Khanna in “Dil Sambhal Ja Zara,” and Karan in “Karn Sangini.” As he embarks on this new journey with “Kahan Shuru Kahan Khatam,” fans eagerly await to see his charm and talent on screen.
