You have been seen in different characters, be it positive or negative. In this show, you are playing the role of a mother-in-law. So, what would you like to say about how that character's behavior is affecting the lives of others?

I would say that the character of Amrita is the central character of the story. Some such accidents have happened in Amrita's life, due to which she has lost her younger son. And she has never been able to recover from this sorrow. The irony is that the person because of whom or because of the girl he lost his son is forced to keep him in his own house. This is the story of this family's relationship with that girl. Talking about Amrita, she has not been able to emerge from her grief. She holds that girl responsible because of whom she lost her son. Everything has happened because of this girl, their lives have been ruined because of this girl. She is never able to forgive that girl. This character is very different from all the characters I have played till now. This character is very different because whatever she does, she does it because of her sadness. It is not that she is doing this out of irritation, it is not at all like that. Something very painful has happened in this character's life, and that is why she is never able to forgive that girl. Amrita's character is very strong, she is a mother who can go to any extent for the happiness of her children and their rights. The mothers in every house would react in the same way if something like this happened to them.

You have worked with Balaji before, how special is it to be associated with him?

Balaji Telefilms is my home for me. I did my first show with him 25 years ago, and this is probably my fifth or sixth show with him so far. There is as much excitement for this show as there was for 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. Balaji Telefilms is my home, these are my people. My comfort level is very high here. Like there was excitement for the first-day shoot of 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', even today I work with the same excitement.

You have been devoting your love to us for 25 years, keep your love and support on us like this and keep watching 'Chahenge Tumhe Itna'
