The reality show Chhoriyan Chali Gaon kept audiences hooked with its challenging tasks, raw village life, and emotional moments. Urfi Javed’s sister, Dolly Javed, who was among the Top 6 contestants, met Mayapuri journalist Shilpa Nalamwar for an exclusive interview. Dolly opened up about her journey, her bond with Anita Hassanandani, and her experiences with tough tasks. Here’s what she shared—

How was your experience at the beginning of this journey?

At the start, my heart used to beat really fast, and I often thought, “I can’t do this.” Yet, I still went ahead and did every task. Anita was like a mother, friend, and sister to me. When she won the show, I was genuinely happy for her. I believed my time might come, but it didn’t. Even when I reached the Top 5, I felt I might be eliminated next. After stepping out, I realized how much support I had received, and I’m truly grateful to everyone. I’m proud that I lasted for two months on the show.

How was your overall experience during the show?

I think the journey was beautiful, a bit stressful, but still wonderful. My experience with the villagers was very warm and positive. The experiences I shared with the other contestants were a bit tough, but I learned a lot from them.

What lessons did you take away from this journey?

The biggest lesson I learned was the importance of love and warmth. I realized how selfless love can be in the villages—it truly touched my heart.

The tasks were extremely tough. How challenging were they for you?

Every task felt difficult. Many times, I thought, “I can’t do this.” My heart would race before every challenge. But then I realized that all you need to do is give your 100%. Whether you succeed or fail doesn’t matter—just do it with your heart, and that’s the real victory. This show isn’t only about being number one, it’s about the experience and growth.

What kind of bond did you share with Anita Hassanandani?

I love her deeply—words can’t describe it. She has been like a mother, sister, and friend to me. When she won, I was genuinely happy for her. I often told her off-camera, “You deserve to win—if anyone deserves it, it’s you.” I’m truly glad she became the winner. I never expected to form such a strong bond with her, but it happened naturally.

What are your thoughts on the conflict between Anita Hassanandani and Maera Mishra?

I’ve always been an Anita supporter. She always gives her 100% and stays true to herself. I don’t think she can ever be wrong.

How did it feel to make it to the Top 4?

Honestly, I still can’t believe I was in the Top 4! Every time someone got eliminated, I thought it would be me next—but it never happened. Reaching the Top 4 made me realize that what truly matters in the show is being authentic. I was always true to myself and my emotions, and I’m proud of that.

How did your family and friends react?

They’re very proud of me and believe I did really well. I stood up for myself in every task. My sister is proud that I can now drive a tractor! (laughs) My family has always believed in me—they never told me I couldn’t do it.

Do you plan to participate in more reality shows in the future?

I can do everything—Khatron Ke Khiladi, MasterChef, Nach Baliye—I’m ready for all of them! This show has given me all the experience I need. And yes, my Nach Baliye partner is already ready!

What message would you like to give your fans?

To everyone who supported me—thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m so happy I stayed for two months and showed who I really am. My fans stood by me, and that love and support were truly overwhelming. I love you all—and yes, there’s more coming soon, so stay tuned!
